This was my first volunteer experience. it was very interesting and fun. you volunteer at the hostel and not at the hotel as advertised. it is a big party hostel. the area is very dangerous as a female solo traveler. the work is simple, sometimes it does get busy but it is not overwhelming. i think though you should get breakfast and dinner everyday just because the work is sometimes a lot and it is the jobs no one wants to do, AKA washing dishing constantly. overall though it was a great experience and i made a family there that i will cherish forever. the people there made it amazing.
