I did my first volunteering experience at the hostel and it was honestly beyond my expectations. I stayed at the hostel for a month, which I found to be the ideal duration to familiarize with the work and feel comfortable with it (although I would have loved to stay a bit longer eventually)… The working hours were respected. The surroundings of the hostel are lovely. I met incredible people there and I will miss my daily life at the hostel. Thanks to Cris, Will and Teresa for being so welcoming. I will miss it and I hope to come back soon ! :)

We're very late, but we didn't want to leave you without a public demonstration. We love having you with us, we love your sense of responsibility and your tremendous pro-activity. We love volunteers we can trust with our eyes closed, and you are without a doubt one of them. And above all, thank you for the good human sharing.

I really enjoyed my stay in Aljezur. The staff and other volunteers were welcoming from the first second on and made me feel as part of the team immediately. Also, the working hours were respected all the time. Aljezur and the surroundings offer a lot of opportunity's to spend your time in the nature and meet new people. If you're looking for a place to get a break from the stressful life, I totally recommend to volunteer at the hostel :)

My stay in Aljezur was simply magical - a special place filled with special people! The town itself is filled with cute vegan cafés and beautiful white houses, the nature around is amazing and there are a lot of hiking opportunities. You can also hike/ drive to the nearby beaches and surf :) The work is easy and working hours are respected. Thank you so much Cris and everyone for being so warm and welcoming and making the place feel like home- it was a pleasure! Lots of love to all of you :)

This experience was amazing. I had such a great time in the Hostel. The staff is very nice and welcoming and the working hours were respected. The surrounding nature is beautiful. In general, it is a calm and peaceful environment. Most days we had to work 2-3 hours depending on the amount of checkouts that we had. The breakfast was great and we had a good amount of options. I really liked my stay and would always come back.

We stayed at the hostel for three weeks and it was a great experience. The staff were kind and generous, yet prescise and direct with the different tasks. You will feel welcomed and seen, and Aljezur is a glowing gem with much to offer. This is a place where you'll meet alot of international travelers and hear many great stories. You will also be able to visit different beaches and places around. We reccomend this place for everyone!

I stayed for 2 weeks at the hostel and it was an amazing experience! The tasks (mainly making bed & vacuuming) were very easy but had to be done responsibly. The town itself is a quiet place but has great things to offer, like a castle and vegan cafés. You can also easily reach surf spots nearby if you have car. The team there is very welcoming and friendly. If you need a break from city life this is the place to be!

With the high season in full swing, we missed the deadline for evaluating Helena, so we're going to do it publicly! Helena volunteered for two weeks and showed commitment and responsibility. She has easy communication and social skills. She performed her tasks well and enjoyed the beaches at their best! We're happy to have her with us and wish her a great year.

I absolutely loved my stay at the hostel! The team (permanent staff and one other volunteer) really welcomed me and made me feel at home. The job is not light (making beds and vacuming bedrooms) but it is performed as a team in a relaxed environment. The hostel was cozy and located in the city center but quite far from the beach and there is no public transportation to go there. The closest beach is 30min by bike. I met a lot of incredible people during my stay but the hostel in itself does not offer any type of community activities (there is no shared breakfast or joined classes).

Salomé had her first experience as a volunteer with us. Her communication skills and interaction with guests are (undoubtedly) her strong suit. She easily interacted and connected with our guests. The position she occupied was for cleaning and tidying the rooms, and her lack of experience and practice became a little more apparent, reflecting in some of the delay and quality of the tidying. But nothing that compromised our day-to-day work. Overall, we enjoyed having her with us and would recommend her for new opportunities.

This was my first worldpackers experience and I loved every bit of it. Beautiful place and incredibly friendly people everywhere, the work is simple and fair, the town itself has everything you need and there are plenty of amazing beaches nearby. The team was very welcoming and kind so I absolutely recommend this place. Thank you all for the wonderful experience:)

This was my first volunteering experience and I am glad I did it at the hostel. All the people were very sweet and friendly, happy characters. The work was only three hours a day (still like my personal gym) and perfectly integrated into the day. The team dorm has two beds and a big private bathroom. Aljezur is the perfect place for you if you love nature and hiking and need a break from city life.

Wonderful! It was my first experience as a volunteer and couldn't be better. Tereza, the cleaning responsible know how to teach cleaning and tidy tasks, she did it to me. Karol is a very good teammate. Cris and Bruno really care about us with everything, breakfast supplies, experience, wellness and have fun. We also had the amazing opportunity to know Ana and Luana, who were volunteering with us. Really recommend!

Our first couple of volunteers, on their first experience. We loved it. They brought gas, energy and always a lot of optimism. And perhaps what we like most in a volunteer: proactivity and the maturity to understand the hostel's routine and, without intruding, to help independently.
It's taken me a while to give you any feedback because it's been a busy day here, but this is one that couldn't be left unanswered. Super reliable for more important tasks. We recommend them with 5 stars.
