I had an amazing time working on the farm. Tasks and expectations for the day were always super clear and Matthew our manager made sure we were happy working. Access to the hostel in the afternoons really made this stand out for me as we could surf and hang out and there was always something to do or someone to chat to. Thanks to Matt, Diego, Teo, Dani, Kasia, Ale, and Simone for making the experience so fun! Miss the family lunches already 🫶

I had the absolute best time here and feel incredibly grateful for all the people that I met and who helped make this experience unforgettable. It was so natural to make friends and memories here, including with the staff. The hours were always respected and super fair. Thank you to our manager Matthew who really made everything run smoothly, Mareike at the hostel who always welcomed us and helped us with whatever we needed, and all the other volunteers - Diego, Dani, Kasia, Sophie, Cass, Leo, Sergio, Guille, Tete. Gijòn is great for surfing, nature, and culture. I'll definitely be back!

Muy buena experiencia. Alejandro siempre se ha preocupado por nosotros se esfuerza en que estemos bien y felices . La casa es inmensa y tuvimos la oportunidad de ir cambiándola poco a poco, ha sido una experiencia increíble. Hay lugares para visitar culturales al lado de la casa y buses para ir a Gijón. Mercadona 10 minutos a pie. Tiene un gran frutal y da lugar a estar muy tranquilo. Se cumplió con todo y se comunica muy bien. Lo recomiendo,nuestro manager Matthew muy bueno y profesional con todas las tareas. Hay actividades para hacer, entorno muy bueno. Gracias q Danielle, Teo, Sophie, Kasi

Diego ha sido un milestone momento for this project! He was always open to help, taking care of the house and also his teammates! He is able to cook and play flamenco inside a swimming pool all at the same time hehehehe Diego thanks for everything!! Hope to see you soon and we wish you the best!!!

Fue mi primer voluntariado con Worldpackers y supero mis espectativas. Lo primero que destacaría es la naturaleza que rodea Gijón, es un sitio perfecto para explorar. La convivencia en el Gijon Surf Hostel fue genial, me sentí súper acogida desde el primer día, conocí a muchas personas increíbles de diferentes partes del mundo, hicimos varias cenas internacionales y hemos tenido un gran intercambio de culturas e idiomas. Sobre todo quiero agradecer a Alex, nuestro anfitrión, una gran persona, siempre fue muy atento a que estemos agusto y muy buena comunicación. Recomendación 1000%

Alex is a friendly and warmhearded person, who is always concerned that everyone is more than just confortable. It was a nice experience to work with him. Sandrino and me would be happy to come back some day and see the finished project. Muchas gracias por todos!

This was our first volunteer experience. Alex is a very kind person, who did everything to make us feel comfortable in our time there, feeling like part of the family. Sometimes the work was hard, but everytime manageable. We were able to work by ourselves and could also plan the time as we want to explore the fantastic nature. Four volunteers in all, we helped each other and had a great time. Every person who wants to help Alex with his project, should do that. Thanks a lot for this time.
