I fell in love with this the farm (affectionately known as the mansion), which is why I ended up extending my stay. You will wake up to grand mountain views, quiet surrounds, and a sun-soaked living room that feels just like home! The people I met are now life-long friends, the local area is so safe and the work is fun. Al and Matt were incredibly easy going, respectful, and just a joy to be around. The bike rides to the beach and into the city are whimsical with tonnes to explore and taste - the Asturian's know how to cook. Highly recommend this experience. Thank you 🤗

My time as a volunteer in Gijon was absolutely amazing! The work was fun and easy, Matthew always made sure we were enjoying that work we were assigned. Everyone was very friendly and always down for a surf or a hike. The house is comfortable and spacey, and you always have access to the surf hostel. I got to improve my surf and discover the beautiful region of Asturias, as well as make many friends. Thank you Alex for the opportunity!

I had an amazing time in Gijón! Asturias is a dream — surrounded by the ocean and mountains, just what I needed. The house has a big garden that connected me to nature, where I loved relaxing and enjoying the calm. The tasks were easygoing, and Matthew was a great instructor who became a friend! I'm so thankful for the wonderful people I met — it truly felt like family. And I even learned to surf! Alejandro, Álvaro, and Matthew were super friendly and took great care of us. Looking forward to come back once the house is ready!

I loved everything about this experience 🥰 Alex, Alvaro and Matthew made sure we had everything we needed and genuinely cared about us having a great experience. We could surf everyday and enjoy all the amenities of the surf hostel. The job is simple and you have a lot of free time. The house is huge and super interesting, you get a private room which is great.

My first Worldpackers experience and I couldn't ask for a better place. I met amazing people and had a great time. Alejandro put a lot of effort into making us feel welcome and comfortable. It wasn't just about the work but genuine care that we enjoyed our time there. I mostly did gardening and painting, the communication was clear, and the outdoor work very satisfying. Matthew, our manager, was always supportive. We could use surf gear and take free surf classes every day. There was a lot of activities in the hostel. I can't express how happy I felt there—thank you for this month in paradise!

For me it was the perfect place and time, with the perfect weather and perfect people! The house and the garden are precious, the work hours and the tasks are as agreed! It's a perfect combination of a peaceful place with the opportunity to go to the hostel and have part and socialize! Gijon it's a very beatiful city, with many things and places to go. I'm very happy in meeting everyone and I hope see you again Alejandro, Matthew, Diego, Alesio, Kasia, Soph, Laura and Isabella and all people from the hostel!!

I had a wonderful time at the farm. Alejandro always made sure we had everything we needed. The morning tasks were organized by our manager Matthew, who was always helpful and friendly. In the afternoons, I had plenty of time to explore Gijón and the surrounding areas, visit the beaches, go surfing or just stay at the hostel. I really appreciated the opportunity to surf and to take part in surf classes! It was also great to share family-like moments with the other volunteers and to meet new friends.

I had an amazing time working on the farm. Tasks and expectations for the day were always super clear and Matthew our manager made sure we were happy working. Access to the hostel in the afternoons really made this stand out for me as we could surf and hang out and there was always something to do or someone to chat to. Thanks to Matt, Diego, Teo, Dani, Kasia, Ale, and Simone for making the experience so fun! Miss the family lunches already 🫶

I had the absolute best time here and feel incredibly grateful for all the people that I met and who helped make this experience unforgettable. It was so natural to make friends and memories here, including with the staff. The hours were always respected and super fair. Thank you to our manager Matthew who really made everything run smoothly, Mareike at the hostel who always welcomed us and helped us with whatever we needed, and all the other volunteers - Diego, Dani, Kasia, Sophie, Cass, Leo, Sergio, Guille, Tete. Gijòn is great for surfing, nature, and culture. I'll definitely be back!
