Although I enjoyed everything in this volunteering, and the people were always making me feel so comfortable and welcome, I think some sugestions could be appropriate for the healthy coexistence between long term staff and volunteers. I would recommend not to involve deep personal beliefs or feelings in the workflow, for some people, it could be not that helpful to build healthy and authentic relations. Besides how deep the relations here tend to be, if you manage to get to know and appreciate everyone here, you will have trully and reliable friends for a lifetime.

This was my first volunteering and without a doubt an unforgettable one! I met incredible people that I will carry forever in my heart. Ali is a unique and wonderful character. everyone welcomed me like a second family. the tasks are very simple and if you do them quickly you can finish soon and have all day to go enjoy Scotland. Thanks to the hostel Family I will never forget you 💔

This was my first volunteer experience and it couldn't have been better! Ali was always there to help and made sure everyone was comfortable. The location is great, the tasks were simple and left enough time to experience Edinburgh! The best part was the whole team and the other volunteers as it felt more like a family than anything else. Would highly recommend and I will definitely come back!

What a marvelous way to visit Edinburgh. Not only because of the beautiful city but also (and specially) because the hostel guarantee you an excellent experience. Ali is always caring about volunteers well-being and trying to keep everything comfortable and fun. The work is easy and you do it with more people. As they have many volunteers there is always someone to hang out and exchange culture and ideas. Thanks to every lovely person that I met :)

Working at the hostel was amazing, the staff, and the location were amazing. Im super grateful of experiencing Edinburgh and for all the loving staff and other volunteers. Ali truly does a wonderful job creating a very unique and amazing place to be! the workload is very manageable and leaves you with plenty of energy and time to do your own things as well. I'll Definitely be coming back some day :)

My first volunteer could not have been better at the hostel. I lived an incredible experience because more than volunteers I found a family! the place is a warm, fun, cozy and above all magical environment. Ali is a being from another planet and she taught me a lot in such a short time! Regarding volunteering as such, it is flexible, the tasks are easy and bearable and you can do everything you want with the spare time you have! You work as a team and with a lot of good vibes, with camaraderie and respect. I hope to see you all again soon!❤️🫶

It was my first experience of international volunteering. And I couldn't have dreamt of anything better! the hostel has a really family atmosphere. I was there for a week but I felt like I had been there for months. Ali is a fantastic leader and also a really interesting person. Working in this team has been incredibly fun. Despite the short time I spent there, I got to meet lots of great people from different parts of the world, practice my languages and explore one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Thank you for everything!

Amazing! the hostel, like Edinburgh, is a very welcoming and magical place. The staff and volunteers are committed to the project and make you feel part of a big and warm family. The work is not so tiring and with 2 days off you have enough time to get to know the nearby places and even travel to other cities in the surroundings. We also had a lot of fun together. I would like to highlight Ali's work, and especially his effort to make the volunteers feel good and comfortable. Little things like a varied and nutritious breakfast make the experience that much better. A great leader.
