The hostel was the perfect place for my first volunteering experience. The manager Ezequiel always made sure we had the best possible time at the hostel and in terms of the work communicated very openly and clearly. The work itself is not too hard and it's definitely worth it because of all the amazing people you get to meet, not only travelers but the other volunteers as well.

I worked in the hostel in the month of december and it was great for me! It is not high season so the work is not very demanding and the vibes are very cozy :) It was very special to celebrate Christmas and New Years in the hostel! Ezequiel is the manager and he always wants to make sure all the volunteers are comfortable and I appreciate it a lot. I made friends for life during my time here and I hope I can come back one day ❤️

GHS is a great place and I definetly enjoyed volunteering here! The hostel is super nice and located in a beautiful area close to nature and the beach. As a volunteer you have access to bikes, surf equipment and skateboards which is also fun !! I'm grateful for my time at this hostel and everyone I met during my stay. Would recommend.

My time at Gijón the hostel was really good. My fellow volunteers were the thing that made the experience. The work is not difficult, but it was sometimes hard to do things with fellow volunteers due to how the shifts lined up. The host is very passionate about the hostel and expects that all work carried out reflects positively on the hostel. Gijón is an amazing place and the nature is spectacular. During off-season there is no surf lessons, but you can use the surfboards and bikes, which was great. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to spend time with other great volunteers.

Really enjoyed my time at GSH! It was super nice to be so close to the beach and nice hiking trails. The work was straightforward and the manager provided a checklist which made it easy to see what was required.

Recomiendo vivir la experiencia de formar parte del hostel , el hostel es una ciudad hermosa donde puedes disfrutar de paseos increíbles en la playa y sus alrededores. El hostel es un lugar muy acogedor y con una magia en su interior donde se encontrarán a viajeros y huéspedes internacionales. Las tareas que se deben realizar son sencillas y fáciles, los turnos y horarios en los cuales se realizan las tareas están bien detallados por una planilla que se envía todas las semanas. Cada voluntario tiene asignado su lugar para guardar sus pertenencias en todas las instalaciones del hostel.

As a first experience of volunteering I couldn't ask for better. The hostel is a beautiful and welcoming villa just a few minutes walk from the sea. I'm grateful for this experience and for the friendships I've made. Definitely recommend it.

Had the best time at the hostel. It is not a traditional hostel which I loved, you feel like living in a cozy, nice villa. Work is not demanding, Eze is a great supervisor, cannot ask for a better one. Very helpful and always makes sure that you are comfortable and enjoying your time. The best part is the lovely people that I met and the friendships that I made with people from all around the world.

GSH es un lugar encantador, las tareas en el hostel son muy fáciles y todo esta perfectamente organizado, la ciudad tiene mucho que ofrecer y el océano a la vuelta de la esquina, fue una gran experiencia en todos los sentidos, fue mi primer voluntariado y no pudo ser mejor, el hostel tiene la mejor vibra del mundo, es genial poder compartir con tantas personas en un mismos lugar tanto con el equipo como con huéspedes e intercambiar algo de nuestras culturas fue la mejor parte para mi, gracias por hacerme sentir como en casa y a Ezequiel gracias por todo, espero volver alguna vez a Gijón!!
