Este fue mi primer voluntariado, y fue sin embargo, una gran experiencia, me adapté fácilmente, se respetaron siempre los horarios y días libres, pude conocer un poco de lo lindo que es Asturias. Me toco un equipo magnífico del cual conocí personas maravillosas, al compartir habitación nunca me sentí sola, compartí muchas risas y buenos momentos, llenos siempre de comida y salidas. Ezequiel, el manager es una persona joven, por lo que te sientes en la tranquilidad de compartir tus ideas y dudas. Un mes increíble! En GSH Vivi una experiencia inolvidable, conocí gente (tanto voluntarios, como huéspedes) de todas partes del mundo y con un corazón muy bueno. Eze el manager es una persona increíble, siempre estuvo atento a nuestra comodidad y siempre nos ayudó y explicó todo para que el trabajo fuera más claro. Tuve tiempo para todo, de conocer los alrededores, hacer uso de las tablas, de las bicis, etc… Los horarios siempre se respetan y todo lo que te promete la experiencia, se cumple. Life is better at el hostel🌊✨

I felt welcomed, listened to and appreciated as a person and as a worker and artist. The manager Ezequiel is a deeply collaborative, nice and kind person, every week he asks you how you are and if there is anything you don't like and even if you have any suggestions to improve the hostel. I found the hostel beautiful, well organized and very clean thanks to the wonderful volunteers I met. As for the role of photographer and social media manager, if you are a perfectionist like me you will probably be the one who will work the hardest, but the request from the hostel is definitely manageable.

Fue una experiencia muy linda, mí primera vez de éste tipo. Todo se ha respetado horarios, espacios, todo lo acordado. He aprendido un poco más el inglés, me he divertido, el trabajo está bien, aprendes desde hacer una cama hasta utilizar el sistema, he conocido personas increíbles que me llevo los mejores recuerdos, el lugar es hermoso. Ezequiel es una gran persona, con un potencial increíble, se preocupa y ocupa por cada uno de nosotros los voluntarios, tiene un gran proyecto y poder aportar nuestro granito de arena es genial. Sin duda un mes donde lo pasé genial en el hostel! me reí, practiqué mi inglés, conocí gente muy linda y amigos que me llevo de esta experiencia!!. Hay una buena comunicación con Eze, manager del hostel, quien se preocupa y es muy abierto a escuchar ideas/opiniones. Las tareas estan muy bien explicadas y organizadas, se respetan los horarios, tuve tiempo para conocer los alrededores y por último... el ambiente es bastante chill . Muy recomendado!!

My time at the hostel was amazing! The Manager is a great host. He makes sure everyone is well and appreciates the volunteers - from the first moment you feel welcome. The work is not difficult and the working hours are respected. There is always a good vibe in the hostel - a lot of partying, a lot of laughter and a lot of fun! I've been able to collect many experiences and memories and meet great people. The only negative thing is that the time has passed so quickly :( Definitive recommendation!

The hostel was an amazing experience. Ezequiel is a great manager and goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable and okay with the tasks. You live in a cute and cosy house with other volunteers. the hostel is a great spot for surfing, skating and beautiful walks. There are some towns nearby for some great day trips. Definitely would recommend staying here!

Mi experiencia en el hostal ha sido buena en general. El equipo de voluntarios y la dirección del hostal ha sido buena y atenta. Por otra parte las instalaciones del hostal como los baños y las habitaciones estaban siempre limpias y en buen estado y el material para hacer surf estaba siempre disponible y a punto. Recomiendo este hostel para los que viajen por la costa norte en busca de olas.

Ser voluntario en GSH fue una experiencia increíble! Allí podía surfear casi todos los días y tenía tiempo para explorar Gijón también. Al manager Ezequiel, le importa mucho el hostal y él siempre quería que los voluntarios tuvieran una buena experiencia. Los voluntarios del hostal eran muy amables y conocí a un montón de viajeros de todo el mundo. Tengo ganas de volver algún día. Gracias por todo!!

The experience is great! The hostel is amazing and people are so nice there! The manager made sure every wish was heard and was just great! I would totally recommend this place for anyone who's looking to volunteer!
