Bernabe and Ingrid took great care of us and we had autonomy on how we would like to work on projects that we were assigned. The whole programme is organised and you truly interact and work with local communities. The volunteer house was nice and communication with the organization was always clear and swift. Thank you so much for the experience!

We spent two weeks with the team at the organization! Although it went by very quickly, we really enjoyed our time. Bernabe, Ingrid and Alvaro made us feel very welcome and we were very comfortable in the shared accommodation. The CASA project has the foundations to build something very valuable within the local community, it was great to see how much it grew just in our two weeks. We hope it continues to thrive with more volunteers and resources! Thanks for a great experience!

My partner and I spent two weeks at the organization. It was great to meet other volunteers and have a positive impact on the project and the community. We enjoyed working with the kids, especially at the CASA project. Everyone involved was super accommodating and happy to make our experience a great one. Although we enjoyed practising our Spanish in the classroom and with our hosts. I would recommend that you have a some confidence in this area as at times it become quiet challenging. Overall a wholesome and memorable experience. Thanks Bernebé, Ingrid and Alvaro.

Me encantó mi tiempo en la organización! Bernabé y Ingrid son anfitriones increíbles y realmente hicieron que se sintiera como un hogar lejos de casa. Mi experiencia con los otros voluntarios también fue genial y nos formamos amistades y conexiones muy fuertes. Los proyectos que están construyendo con la fundación son increíblemente importantes a las comunidades que sirven. En solo dos semanas, el proyecto que se llama “proyecto casa” creció desde 6 niños hasta 22 niños. Realmente recomiendo ser voluntari@ aquí. Muchas gracias por todo, espero que pueda volver en el futuro y los voy a extrañar!

I loved my time at ExpandPeru! The projects they run and work with are just incredible. It taught me so much, and I am forever gratefull to have able to come here. The hosts Bernabe and Ingrid are kind and caring people. Thank you so much for having me! I was only here for two weeks, but would have stayed longer if I could. Would very much recommend this voulenteer program:)

I highly recommend this volunteer experience for anyone looking to make a positive impact in a community in need. I worked on three projects: assisting children with homework, providing support and activities for the elderly, and developing physical activities for adolescent mothers, always with help from a permanent volunteer. And the NGO, led by Bernabe, provided valuable support and cultural immersion. However, I suggest reconsidering the $150 fee, as food and transport are extra costs, and clarifying in the ad that there are no private rooms and that volunteers work not only with children.

Tanto Bernabé como Ingrid se portaron de forma excelente conmigo. Desde el primer día me llevaron a ver el mercado de la ciudad para sumergirme en la cultura, se preocuparon siempre por el bien estar de los voluntarios tanto en los proyectos como en la casa y ayudaron en todo lo posible en que todos estuviéramos agusto. La ayuda que se ofrece en el proyecto es una ayuda muy directa que permite entrar en el contacto con el problema de los niños en primer plano. Estos niños son maravillosos y fue un enorme placer poder enseñarles cosas y aprender de ellos tambien. Extrañaré mucho a todos!

João es un chico alegre, solidario, optimista y muy buena persona. Ayudó mucho al proyecto de niños y ancianos. Creó un buen ambiente en la casa de voluntarios y con sus compañeros. Es muy alegre y social.

Thomas did very well in volunteer work with the children and his colleagues. He was always very sensitive and supportive. An incredible person and always willing to give more.

I spent 3 human and intensive weeks within the organization association. I was able to meet incredible international volunteers who supported me with education and kindness. The missions were very interesting and I loved being in contact with the locals who left a mark in my heart forever. The apartment and shared accommodation were very pleasant. The management organized a farewell party for me, which really touched me. I recommend

Lohana is a very proactive, sensitive and kind person. She was in the Casa project and the elderly project. She helped in many ways: homework, home visits, sports and art workshops and above all giving a lot of attention and affection to those who need it.
