I had a great time at the the hostel, the owners were attentive at all times and the agreed conditions were respected. In addition, the hostel is one of the best in all of Europe, great atmosphere and I felt at home. I would have liked to stay a few more weeks. I definitely have to go back. I totally recommend it.

My experience as a volunteer at the hostel was one of a kind. Both Matt and Gabriel were very kind and helped me with whatever i needed. I felt welcomed and the environment was very friendly, motivating me to give my best. I am very greatful that my first experience at a hostel was that beautiful, the problem now is that you guys set the bar high for my next one! If i could i would stay for a longer period, thank you guys for everything, keep it like this, you are great 😍

My one month in the hostel was incredible and I'm so sad that I have to leave this lovely place. I feel like one month there was too fast for me because from one day to other day I got a chance to make new friends and had a good time with them. Personally for me the work is easy , you just have to clean the bathroom, making beds and etc nothing complicated.So I think if you want to work and have a lot parties at the same time this is the right place for you. Thank you so much Matt, Gabriel, Liga, Nora, Daniel, Laura, Riana for helping me with everything and make me feel home.

I was supposed to stay for 1 month but I extended for 2! It's been one of the most rewarding experience in life. Tasks are easy: work 5h cleaning the hostel and making beds (2 days off/week). Matt and Gabe, the owners, put their trust in you to take care of the hostel and i'm happy I've work with them. I stayed in a shared room with the other volunteers; rooms are big, with lockers and every bed has a curtain for your privacy. The hostel offers a lot of activities and pub crawl every weekend: the best way to meet new people and know Riga! Don't miss this opportunity! Best of luck squirrels!

I arrived at the hostel and was very well looked after. I stayed in the hostel for a month, but it felt like a long time. It was definitely the best choice I made to volunteer in Riga. The work is quiet, cleaning the bathrooms, making the beds. The staff is very friendly and always woke up in a good mood. I had a good experience meeting new people, shooting tour, pub crawl, party in the hostel. The hostel is very lively and has many activities to do. I want to thank everyone at the hostel in special Gabriel, Matt, Michela, Viktorija were fundamental in this journey. I hope to see you soon.

Honestly the hostel is great! Fun atmosphere with a lot of activities and parties every week. You will meet a lot of fellow travelers as well. Gabe and Matt are really cool and easy going and they respect the agreed hours and terms of work. Riga is an interesting city but can get a little boring after a while. I think that staying around 3 weeks here is perfect.

It was my first hostel volunteer and the host accepted me very quickly after the application. It wasn't what I have expected of a hostel volunteer since i wasn't experienced enough to inform what or how much work is really is. The housekeeping was for me really intensive. It's a big hostel with many bathrooms and beds to do. And we were only two volunteers in housekeeping so i think it is a big issue! I quit the volunteer after a week to find out from other hostel/ volunteer that it's not the standard of a hostel volunteer what I've experienced there. I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

Pretty dissapointed to read this review. The reality is you worked for 4 hours with our cleaning team, and then called in sick the next day, and then again for the next 3 days. We offered to help with you seeing a doctor or buying meds or whatever but you declined. So we gave you the benefit of the doubt...until we saw you going out drinking with guests after the 4th day you said you were too sick to work. If you had been honest with us after your first shift and said this wasnt for you, or not what you expected, we would have said no worries, and happily let you crash in the staff dorm for a couple of days until you figured out your plans. But instead you continued lying about being sick, being super defensive when we asked how you were doing, rather than just simply saying you didnt want to stay. We only found out you were leaving after a manager saw you leaving with your bags. So yeah you stayed for a week, after spending 6 of those days pulling a sicky.....

I had an amazing experience at the hostel. I worked during few hours in the mornings (simple tasks : making beds, cleaning bathrooms, etc). Gabriel and Matt are very nice, I had a lot of fun working with them (I even had the opportunity to shoot with guns guys, at a shooting range). That's why I decided to extend my stay for one more week. If you go, you will meet a lot of people from all arround the world. Also, it is a safe place for girls travelling alone. ;)
