I spent my time at the Café working mainly as a barista. I learned how to do latte art and it quickly became one of the most enjoyable parts of my routine. What stayed with me were the shared meals at the long table by the window overlooking the garden, speaking English, Spanish and Portuguese all at once, a joyful mess. The unexpected hugs that paused the rush, the discreet smiles of the monks passing by, and the constant mix of voices from people sharing the same space. Living with volunteers from so many places, switching between languages and stories, gave the days a rhythm I won't forget.

Ha sido mi primera experiencia de voluntariado por Worldpackers y, sinceramente, me dejó movilizada de pies a cabeza. Mi objetivo principal era mejorar mi inglés: fueron solo dos semanas, aunque me quedé con ganas de muchísimo más. Definitivamente tengo que volver. Me encontré con gente hermosa y un lugar lleno de armonía, trabaje en el equipo de house hold. El trabajo es simple, aunque cansativo al final del dia. Un consejo importante: si vas cargado, reservá taxi con anticipación. No lo dejen para el último momento porque conseguir uno un domingo es misión imposible.

The project taught me many things about Buddhism. Each inhabitant warmly immerses you in the tradition. They speak to you of inner peace and good deeds. The camaraderie with the other volunteers...It's an experience I'll never stop being grateful for. Being in the art studio and knowing that you're part of creating beautiful statues for the service of the project world is one of the best things I'll take away from this. I definitely recommend the experience if you want to fill yourself with love for the world. Thank you the project Center, Tsalden and Constance for making me feel part of a them. 🪷

Because of personal reasons, I stayed here for a week. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the food was absolutely delicious. Everyone I met was incredibly kind. It's a very peaceful place surrounded by nature, with beautiful scenery. During my stay, I learned a lot — from teamwork and cleaning skills to gaining insights into different cultures and even learning a bit about Buddhism. It was a wonderful cross-cultural experience, and I truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended! :)

I had a truly inspiring experience at MKMC. I worked in the café, which was a lot of fun! What I really appreciated is that the residents of the project take time for you. You can ask them anything & they answer openly & with so much kindness. There are so many classes & meditations you can join & the atmosphere is so peaceful and welcoming that you naturally learn and grow. The food was always delicious & there were volunteers from all over the world – all ages, all backgrounds, which made every conversation so interesting. I'm deeply grateful for this time!

My time here was truly special. The environment was peaceful, respectful, and very well organized. Working hours were respected, and there was plenty of space to join classes or enjoy the nature. Working in the café was such a joy! The vibe was light, fun, and full of good energy. The manager and supervisors were incredibly kind, making every day flow easily. I also really appreciated how there was no pressure to leave a review. It shows how authentic and mindful this place truly is. My experience here felt honest, balanced, and full of heart. I'm deeply grateful. ❤️

Being at the project was the most wonderful thing that could have happened. I was warmly welcomed by everyone, made new friends, and had a great work routine, with fun and patient people. The meditations are incredible, and I highly recommend the walks around the area and the beach views. Everything was perfect, I didn't have any problems with anything. Being there was truly a transformation.

I have no words to describe what this experience meant to me. Staying at the project was truly the best decision of my life. I'm deeply grateful to Tsalden, Oudro, and everyone who was part of the kitchen team for their patience, kindness, and everything they taught me each day. The atmosphere is beautiful — full of peace, respect, and wonderful people who make you feel at home from the very first moment.
