The organization welcomed me very lovingly. After a few hours I already felt at home - the staff is very friendly, gently introducing you to the house and the activities, while ensuring your wellbeing. The work itself is simple and passes by quickly. I recommend participating in the activities as well, such as dancing capoeira with the children. I enjoyed the exchange with the children the most, as I learned valuable things from them, but also from the exchange with the NGO's staff. Believe me, there's much more awaiting you than you can imagine! Look forward to it!!

An advice: enjoy every moment because time will fly! The hosts are incredible people, very welcoming and with which you can have super interesting conversations. I learned so much about Brasil, its history, values and current situation. The work is light and fun. The house is beautiful, with many open spaces. Maresias is a cute beach town, I felt very safe and it was my first time solo travelling and in Brasil. I advise to do surf lessons with Thiago (the host). It's super fun and personalised experience. He's a very good teacher. Overall highly recommend experience!

As minhas tarefas consistiram na limpeza dos espaços. A Nina e a Janis são as cachorras guardiãs da casa. O maravilhoso Ale está sempre em contacto. Há 1/2 atividades por dia na casa, de cerca de 2h. Conheci os educadores e assisti às sessões de capoeira, todo o mérito para o mestre e os alunos. O nr de alunos varia de atividade para atividade. Na semana que estive na casa, houve pouco movimento, excepto no evento de skate. O surf tb está reservado para eventos. Terminei mais cedo porque não me sintonizei ao movimento da casa. O projeto tem muito potencial e espero que continue crescendo.

La organización es un proyecto hermoso dentro de una comunidad que lo necesita. Lxs niñxs asisten a las actividades con mucho entusiasmo y se sienten parte del lugar, obteniendo un espacio seguro para poder compartir problemáticas de su día a día y aprender muchísimo. Mi experiencia fue buena. Las tareas fueron muy diversas (trabajar en la huerta, pintar el suelo, grabar vídeos, limpieza de la sede). Muchas de las tareas son de limpieza. Las actividades con los niñxs son opcionales y no están dentro del horario pactado. Fui la única voluntaria esas dos semanas (suelen ser dos pero se d

I'm grateful for my stay and the insight about socioenvironmental issues as well as Brazil in general that was shared. The project is impressively organised and seem to have a high value to the community. Thiago and everyone else I met there are super welcoming and warm people. Mi primera experiencia con WP y llegué hasta Maresias. Esperaba encontrar un ambiente donde pueda sentirme en casa, conocer más sobre Brasil y su gente, todo lo que buscaba lo encontré y lo recibí con tremendo cariño. Thiago y Mari unos tremendos anfitriones :D me sentí muy cómodo. Un equipo con un proyecto que tiene un sentido muy bonito y se siente que lo que se hace es con pasión. Un gran abrazo y gracias por la muy buena experiencia.

Being part of the organization was amazing! It was my first volunteer project and it couldn't have been better. Thiago and Bruna are wonderful hosts and the whole family of the organization makes you feel at home from the very first moment. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to learn about the community, the life in Maresias and the great impact of the NGO - environmentally and socially. I recommend volunteering at the organization to everyone and would love to come back again!!

This experience was incredible. Starting with Thiago who is probably one of the most caring and empathetic humans there is. I felt comfortable at the organization the minute I stepped in. The other volunteers there were equally as welcoming and I have made some amazing connections for life. The work that is being done at this NGO is so important and provides much needed support and inspiration for children, the community, and the environment. I got to be immersed in the local culture, see some amazing beaches, as well as some beautiful water falls. An experience of a lifetime. ❤️

Creo que todo aquel que quiera participar de algún proyecto con impacto social durante su tiempo cómo Worldpacker debería pasar por acá.
