It was my first experience as a volunteer, the hotel is lovely, clean, comfortable, has a lot of areas to rest, the duties are simple and easy, the most important part is socialize with the guests. Devi lal is an incredible person, very attentive to our needs and a relly good story teller. The stuff is friendly and the food is good. I have planty of time to relax or go for a walk. They have hot showers, 2 rooftops, restaurant, and stores nearby. Thanks for the time sharing together with you and family!

Volunteering at the guest house in Jaisalmer has been an unforgettable experience. From day one, the staff welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like part of the family. The warmth and kindness of everyone here are truly unmatched. The atmosphere is incredible—peaceful, yet lively, with stunning views of the Golden City. The food is absolutely delicious, offering a perfect taste of Rajasthan, and the beds are comfortable, making it easy to relax after work. The work has been fair, enjoyable, and rewarding. The moment I arrived I was welcomed by the team and immediately felt comfortable! The working hours were very little so we had plenty of time to enjoy the city and get cozy on the beautiful rooftop. I met the two loveliest girls there and I'm just so grateful to Devilal that I got to meet them and spend time with them. The rooftop will stay in my mind due to its beautiful view and nice sunrises and sunsets. Thank you!

My stay at the guest house was lovely. As soon as I arrived I felt welcomed and respected, both the host and the staff were really understanding and available to help us volunteers with anything we needed. The Hotel is located in a central area while still being away from the chaos, with an amazing view from th terrace. They are flexible with work hours, and you will have enough time for yourself to explore this beautiful city. Definetly recommend!

This is my first volunteering experience & first time in Rajasthan, honestly say I've learned so much! It's been an incredible journey adapting to the local culture and people here. Oh I have a very good New Year 2025 celebration in here! Thanks to Mr. Devi for offering me this opportunity, and to Akshay and Vijay for their warm welcoming. I'm grateful to be part of the amazing team at the guest house. It never felt like "work" to me! I did have my own time to explore the fort and doing my own works. To everybody, tq hopefully to comback haha Mujhe Maat Bhoolna yaar!

I giorni trascorsi allo the guest house sono stati davvero piacevoli. È un hotel a conduzione familiare e tutti ti fanno sentire come se fossi parte della famiglia. Lo staff è composto da soli uomini, ma mi sono sempre sentita al sicuro con loro. Gentilezza è la parola chiave. Il lavoro consisteva in qualche ora da trascorrere alla reception la mattina o il pomeriggio e un aiuto al ristorante la sera. Questo si trova su un rooftop fantastico. Consiglio questo host, è stata un'esperienza che rifarei ancora. Grazie, Devilal. Grazie a tutta la famiglia e a tutti voi.

I felt welcomed since the moment I arrived. Devilal ji, Bhati ji and all the other staff members were sweet and always ready to help. I was given a non-AC room but since it was so hot and humid, I was offered an AC one later. The fort is like 5mins walk and hence I kept going there almost everyday. There wasn't too much work to do so I had time for myself. The work included creating the hotel videos and writing posts about the hotel and Jaisalmer which was fun to do. I would surely recommend this experience for anyone visiting Jaisalmer. They even dropped me to the station late night 🙂

Devi Lal's hospitality and generosity is beyond words. We came during low season, so there was less work than we expected. We spent time hanging out together, and his son would drive us and show us many places. We were even invited to a wedding and birthday party. We will always remember the kind heart of jaisalmer people

My stay at the guest house was great! All of the staff here are very kind and made me feel welcomed immediately. The hotel itself is beautiful, the rooms have lots of character and the rooftop is a great place to relax and enjoy the stunning view of the fort. Devilal was an accommodating host who helped me see all of the sights in Jaisalmer, took care of me when I got sick, and made my experience in India feel authentic. The tasks I did were simple and enjoyable, the trade off was definitely worth it. I got to try new foods, stay in a beautiful place and meet many new people!

Attending the wedding of my host's niece was a heartwarming experience, weaving me intricately into the fabric of their family. Every individual extended their arms to me, embracing me as one of their own. Through my two weeks of volunteering, I not only forged meaningful connections but also gleaned invaluable insights and knowledge. My gratitude towards Devi Ji knows no bounds for granting me this unforgettable journey in the city of golden hearts.
