Not a bad experience! The agreed upon tasks were manageable, duties were communicated clearly. I was expecting a hostel with a younger demographic and more social atmosphere. From what I could tell, the majority of the people staying at the hostel were 30-40yr old men doing long term stays. As a solo female traveller, it was a little off-putting, as our dorm door's lock was broken so there wasn't as much security as I would have wanted. I unfortunately did have to leave early due to an emergency back home, but Mia was so incredibly understanding and kind about the circumstances! She was great

Dear Melissa, just a note for the room lock it is working normally. Nobody can enter the room without a key. Some rooms in hostel are open with room cards and some with keys. Kind regards

My experience at the hostel was good! The working hours were reasonable and respected. The other volunteers made the experience extra special and I made some great friends! As a solo traveler I felt safe in Zagreb and would recommend it

I don't recommend it as a first volunteer experience. They treat us like workers and not as volunteers. Mia is very strict in supervising you as a cleaner, although Eva is a lovely person and I have no complaints. One advantage is that you share a room with the other volunteers and that allows you to socialize. But on the other hand, the hostel is full of strange people, with whom you have to share the kitchen, for example. in summary, the experience is good but I would not repeat it

The hours were always respected and the job is what was previously agreed. Had the best time knowing a lot of really good and fun people here.

The housekeeping work and it tasks were always clear. On the first day you have a training session where everything is shown to you and you can always ask the other volunteers questions. The tasks are assigned differently and fairly every day. I enjoyed the work and the time with the other volunteers. However, I had no personal connection with the boss Mia and it was more of a boss-to-work relationship. I missed a bit of personal warmth and kind words. The hostel is ok, but there is not much to do in Zagreb.

It was a great experience and awsome to meet a lot of peoplef rom all over the world, especially because thee are so many volunteers there! The hostel isn't beautiful but absolutely fine, the staff is nice and the work is very well doable.

I had a great experience here- 100% down the to amazing people I met. I would recommend it especially for first time Worldpackers as it was a very friendly environment with a lovely culture of really welcoming new volunteers into the group. While I was there they were several issues with bedbugs which was quite stressful but I don't regret going and hopefully that will have finally been sorted now!

I generally had an incredible time at the hostel, mainly because the other volunteers were the most amazing people and made the experience so so wonderful, i was heartbroken to leave! Unfortunately there was a bed bug situation during my stay, but the staff did take it seriously and we were all okay :)

Good experience at this hostel, with a great atmosphere and location. The distribution and nature of tasks could be improved, as they are numerous, and sometimes some volunteers may have more work than others. It's also necessary to improve the hostel's sanitation. Overall, a very good experience.

Work hours are respected and there are even times you finish early. Eva at reception is amazing🤩 The owners were not there to welcome you but the other volunteers explain everything and soon you are a family. Very good atmosphere. Lack of storage space in the fridge.There was an incident with some bugs and they didn't offer many solutions or medical support or anything like that...

Just a note that we did react immidiatley, sprayed all the room and offered to wash all your laundry for free and on that day there was no more bugs in the room. We know its not the most comfortable situation, but in hostels & hotels they do appear in high seasons, and we did take care if it by the procedure that works ✌️
