I spent 2 weeks in the hostel ans it was really fun. Pros: The team of volunteers had a lot of South American people so I spent most of the time speaking and learning Spanish. The worktime is respected and you're not expected to work more than the agreed hours. The work is chill. Cons: The kitchen is small for so many people and we don't get to interact a lot with the host. In winter you don't really have time to see things during the day since it gets dark at 16h30 and usually I was finishing eating at that time. I made friends that I cherish and am sure I'll return to the hostel sometime :)

The hostel is well located, the schedules and days off are respected. The volunteers' room is comfortable and clean (it is cleaned every day). I want to highlight Anja's management (she is very nice and supportive) and the other volunteers' dedication and hard work. Thanks to all the Staff in general in the hostel :)

This experience was very good, the hosts were kind and welcoming. You would work agreed upon hours most days. Some days you would finish early others if you weren't done your tasks you needed to finish them for another hour ish. The hosts provided a good free breakfast and bought us medicine when some were sick!

I enjoyed my stay at the Funcky the hostel Zagreb hostel, besides being in the center and very lively, it is very welcoming to everyone, especially Latinos. Practically all employees speak Spanish and really enjoy the culture. The bar next door is always lively, with attractions including live artists. The work is simple and not very tiring and the other volunteers are all incredible. It's a great option to get to know Zagreb

It was a great experience overall. The tasks were simple, and the team was always willing to help—both with my responsibilities as a volunteer and with any external suggestions I had. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy-going.

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I felt everything smooth and comfortable. The experience was great. The hours of work were amazing for me, I could travel around. The hostel is very clean and quiet. I recommend staying there. =)

Anja and Mia were really friendly and easy to talk to. I worked with my girlfriend doing housekeeping — cleaning rooms and common areas. It's not the easiest job, but it's satisfying when everything looks good. During our time, most volunteers spoke Spanish, so it was a bit harder to connect, but I guess that depends on timing. The work hours (11h–15h) weren't ideal in October since there wasn't much daylight left after, but overall it was a good experience and the hostel had a chill vibe.

Anja and Mia are wonderful - always kind, helpful, and easy to chat with. My boyfriend and I helped with housekeeping, cleaning rooms and common areas every day. It's hard work, but it's nice to see the hostel clean and welcoming for everyone. The hours (11h–15h) gave us time to enjoy Zagreb, though one day off per week can feel short if you want to travel around Croatia. We shared a dorm with other volunteers, but it was always peaceful and friendly. The hostel has a calm vibe that made us feel really comfortable. Overall, a great experience and we're happy to have joined the team!
