It was a real multicultural experience, I was able to practice my English a lot, also the location is really great, one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia just in a few blocks.

No fue lo que esperaba, la realidad no es a lo que aparece en las fotos. Nos dieron un colchón en el suelo para dormir en una pieza muy descuidada. Las instalaciones necesitan mantenimiento, y falto mucha organización para trabajar eficientemente sin andar corriendo por todos lados. Hacer el labor de housekeeping era muy estresante, tenías que hacer lavandería a la par porque no tenían suficiente sabanas. No había reconocimiento del trabajo por parte de los managers lo que generaba falta de motivación en todos los voluntarios.

Just to let you know we have since fixed the bed situation in the staff room.
I'm so sorry that yourself and Gianfranco didn't't enjoy your stay. Please understand that we have gone from Covid times and having the place half empty to being extremely busy and inundated within a matter of weeks. Honestly we were unprepared for how busy things were going to get. It's awesome to have the vibe back but yes we have been understaffed and a bit stressed out. We are working on this by hiring more staff and trying to be more organised. I'm so sorry that you didn't feel appreciated but just know that we are working on it and things are getting better and better.

Esta fue nuestra 3era y peor experiencia en WP. Después de un largo viaje la dueña del Hostal nos recibe sin pieza y sorprendida del arribo. La acomodación fue un colchón en el suelo con una pieza sin baño. El baño quedaba bajando mi edificio, cruzando la recepción y patio. Las fotos y reseñas es del tiempo de gloria del hostel 2019 pre pandemia, ahora se nota el cambio de dueña QUE NUNCA te va agradecer por tu trabajo, que SIEMPRE necesita más ayuda y esta estresada. No vale la pena trabajar por acomodación 15 hrs por 200 dolis que te sale a la semana 13 hr y encontrar trabajo por 25 hr es facil.

Thanks for the feedback Gianfranco, I'm so sorry you were disappointed with your stay.
As you can imagine the last 2 years have been extremely hard for us, we are working very hard to reinstate the good vibes post pandemic and I feel like we're doing quite well considering everything, we hope people might be a little more understanding.
Sorry if you didn't feel appreciated but I don't know if you guys stuck around long enough to feel the family vibe. We do find that couples can have a hard time in the shared dorm setup.
We will take in the things you have said and endeavour to be better, always.

It was nice! Staff and managers were awesome! The hostel is not in a perfect location, but you can get everywhere with the bus and we still have the beach right across the street 🙂

No words to describe my experience here. The hostel has great facilities such a swim pool, ping pong, snooker, jenga, cards, books, surfboards, skateboards, bike and much more, is ridiculously close to the beach and the job is easy. The staff is incredible, very flexible with the working hours and is a huge bonus to have Biscuit around (the cutest hostel dog). Thank you so much for the opportunity, I learned a lot from everyone and I recommend this place to everyone that wants to work in a chill environment and spent your free afternoons enjoying the best that Gold Coast has to offer.

I had a amazing time working at the hostel Cooly. Everyone was so nice to me and I felt like home since the beginning. The hostel has many good activities to do, like pool, table tennis, card games, jenga, movie night, also a beautiful beach just crossing the road. The job is quite easy and if you have any questions the managers (or any other staff) will be glad to help you. Thank you so much for everything, I gonna miss everyone!

If you're looking for an chill place and want to make new friends, you must to stay in Cooly. Everyone is helpful and the job is easy, so you can enjoy your free time at the beach, that is really close to the hostel. My experience was amazing and I hope to come back on soon! Thanks for everyrhing guys.

It was such an amazing experience! I really enjoyed my stay at Cooly the hostel. I have had the most relaxing days and a lot of time to explore the place. I will miss this place so much. I recommended this experience for those who wanna have fun and enjoy the beach! Thanks for giving me this opportunity! :))
