I had a wonderful experience volunteering at the hostel and would definitely return again. I became great friends with some of the other volunteers. Everything is advertised correctly and realistically. The tasks are simple and are explained to you when you start your first shift. Free days were respected and was always given two a week. Meals and drinks were given and you also had an opportunity to earn a small amount of money which I found incredibly helpful. Thank you Efrain!!! Something to note is that in Croatia a lot of people smoke tobacco and it is allowed to smoke indoors.

Volunteering in the hostel was a life-changing experience. I met so many wonderful people and had an amazing time. All shifts were planned as agreed and they were easy tasks. I totally recommend it.

Hi everyone! We will keep this experience forever in our hearts. The host is amazing, you can talk to him whenever you need it. You are going to work with a group staff that is going to make you feel at home. We never met someone who made us feel uncomfortable. There are a lot of volunteers as you so you have the opportunity to meet people from all over the world. The task that you have to do are not difficult but you have to work with respect to have it back. We wish you a great experience like ours!!! Martina and Martina

Me gusto mucho la experiencia en Chill Out Hostel. Conocí a gente muy linda, tanto empleados como voluntarios. Las tareas son sencillas de hacer, y si no entiendes algo o tienes dudas el staff está ahí para ayudarte siempre con buena onda. De igual forma Efraín siempre está al tanto de los voluntarios. Si te gusta el ambiente de fiesta este es el lugar indicado para ti. Definitivamente recomiendo esta experiencia a todo jeje

Mi experiencia en este hostel fue una de las mejores. Si bien Zagreb es una ciudad chica y no hay tantas cosas para hacer, la vida dentro de este hostel nunca te aburre y siempre hay algo para hacer o alguien con ganas de hacer amigos y salir un rato. Las tareas son muy sencillas (yo diría que hasta demasiado, en comparación a otras opciones) y el staff en las diferentes posiciones siempre está de buen humor, y sin problema de enseñarte o acompañarte si no entendés algo. Efrain es super buena onda y siempre está presente por si pasa algo. Lo recomiendo sobre cualquier otra opción.

Volunteering at the hostel was a unique and amazing experience. If you want the small hostel experience, this is not the place for you. But if you want to PARTY and work with an amazing group of people this will be your new home! The work is easy but can be a little heavy at times. Literally. You will carry a lot of heavy stuff:) And of course Efraín will help you with anything you need, he's a really cool and chill dude. 10/10 would recommend

Unfortunately, I didn't have the best experience at the hostel. Upon arrival, I was shown to my room which was in a filthy state. It was messy, very dirty, and not at all what I expected. After seeing the situation, I ended up talking with the host, who interviewed me, and he suggested I stay in the other room of volunteers so I did. Although this other room wasn't in such bad conditions, I felt very discouraged to go through with the experience so I decided to leave and not volunteer. I informed the host of my decision by sending a message which I never got an answer to.

I definitely enjoyed my time in Zagreb, the hostel is in a great location to explore the city and rest of the country as well. The hours were respected and Efrain was an amazing host, making sure I felt welcomed and taken care of during my entire stay. The meals were great, and the majority of the staff were very friendly with me and I enjoyed working with them. I want to clarify for others that I felt this was more of a hotel and lacks the young traveler community. Because of the bars and club, there are a lot of people around that aren't guests. Also, smoking inside is allowed.
