This experience was amazing, I got to connect introspectively with peace and learnt to meditate. The nature here is breathtaking! Everyone was so welcoming. The tasks are normal, on weekends we had visitors and on the week it was only us volunteers residents and monks. Definitely recommend this to work with peace and service.

Recomiendo a todos los viajeros de Worldpackers que quieran conocer un poco más acerca del Budismo el centro esta experiencia. La comunidad del templo es muy generosa al compartir su tradición y prácticas. Son muy abiertos e involucran a los voluntarios en sus prácticas espirituales. Las tareas son sencillas, enfocadas en limpieza. Los horarios son respetados y siempre estarás con alguien que acompaña y guía la tarea. Quizás no lo recomiendo para nómades digitales porque el trabajo se divide a lo largo del día y queda poco tiempo libre de calidad. Si tienes dudas, escríbeme por privado!

If you know Brazilians, you might still haven't felt hospitality at its best at the Temple. Welcomed with a smile by every single person that was there (residents, volunteers, monks, I mean, everyone), and had conversations with such a friendly tone that made it easy (even if you're an introvert) to feel part of the group and long time friend from everyone who's been there long time or recently arrived. Food is always amazing and you have to try their "farofa" - the yummiest. Everyone is open to clarify your doubts about their beliefs plus to have conversations about life or small talk

Despite the ritual and dogmas that make part of any religion, it's a really interesting experience and I am happy that I've been staying about 10 days at the Temple! It's super nice to understand better the routine of the monks and what is their concept of Buddhism. The food was unbelievable tasty and the activities, in general, not that hard. The staff that were organizing the volunteering were not that comprehensive with the people when they're informing about changing of rules and plans.

Fue una experiencia transformadora y maravillosa! Recomiendo mucho el lugar, aprovechar los conocimientos que brindan en las aulas, cursos, al hablar con los profesores y monjes! Fue una experiencia muy buena, practiqué como meditar de forma diferente y aprendí conceptos del budismo que desconocía. Conocí gente maravillosa con la cual realicé el trabajo y se generó una motivación tan positiva que casi no sentí que estaba trabajando. Por eso, también me ofrecí trabajar en mi día de descanso y lo hice con muchas ganas. El templo es hermoso y las instalaciones están muy bien cuidadas. Hay 5 comidas, todas abundantes y deliciosas. Es un lugar para relajarse y abstraerse de todo ya que está alejado de la ciudad. Recomiendo ir y también ver el amanecer de mañana!
