My experience in the language cafe has been better that whatever I had imagined. I was supposed to stay 1month and ended up staying 3 months, it speeks for itself. I met volunteers that that period became my family and friendships that I will always cherish. I made very close friends among the locals I met in the cafe, who I am still seeing today. I am very grateful to the hosts who made this trip possible. They took care of our schedules, of our problems, of the mood of the group,... Today I consider them as close friends ! I really recommend this language cafe with all my heart ! <3

Gabi!!! We missed the date to write you a review ):
You know we always have and will appreciate your help during your stay and after
You actually have changed a lot since day one - in a good way. (Not that you were not enough or bad back then)
We love how you always tried to engage with each and everyone who came across your journey. And thus, we wish you the best of luck, happiness, and love on this great journey ahead of you. People are lucky to have met you (:
Take care!

My time at the language studio was a great volunteering experience. The task was perfect for finding yourself in a completely new culture, as I was helping the locals with practicing their English by talking about any subject of our choice. Because of that I was able to learn about their lifes, values, or just recommendations on visiting new places in Seoul :) The organizers are really nice (and huggable!) people, always with smiles on their faces that makes a newcomer feel comfortable immidiately. If you are fine with sharing a small living space - I highly reccomend this experience!

This was my first time in Asia and the language café was a fantastic place to learn and meet with the Korean students. It's a great opportunity to truly learn about the place by speaking with locals. Harry and MJ were friendly, warm and accommodating. The apartment was quite small while the Wi-Fi would be down at times. However, the experience makes up for this 100% 😅

My experience with LangsYoung the coliving was awesome and I would come back right away! It's a great place to make many friends and learn about the culture. Many different kinds of people come to the language cafe, so you can have very interesting conversations every time you come. The managers at the studio always try their best to help us if we need anything. Also if their ever might be a problem between the volunteers they try to help us solve it. The best thing about the language cafe are Harry's hugs and Mj's smile and obviously a big thank you to Young for your peace signs!

I had an unforgettable time at this host! The managers do their best to make you feel welcome and always help you if you need anything. The studio is a great place to connect with people and make friends. I love going to work, because the studio has a very relaxed and chill atmosphere,so the 'work' feels more like hanging out with your friends. There's all kinds of people going to the studio so you can have very interesting conversations and also learn many new things. I want to say thank you to MJ, Young and Harry for everything! I can't wait to come back and receive your hugs again🤣💕

Overall very positive experience. The other volunteers were all so nice and the organisers Harry, MJ, Yong and Dahye were super cool and accommodating to me when I needed to take certain days off. The work itself was a great way to interact with locals and understand Korean culture on a deeper level.

Despite the fact that the hosts were working for an exceptionally high amount of time per week, they did their absolute best to help the volunteers with everything they needed, often times about things they are not obligated to do. they are serious and responsible, and they deliver exactly what is promised. the hosts will certainly not disappoint you.

Kostas, sorry we missed the review by a day to write you one!

Hope this makes it up. First of all, thank you for recognizing our hard work and love towards the community. We also realize this is not only us but also all the volunteers are coming together as a team including you of course.

Despite many hardships, we are grateful for your proactivity and consideration during your time with us. You have always tried to hold pleasant and even intellectual conversations with people. We're sure many of them enjoyed the talk and had quality time sitting down with you.

Thanks for all the kind words! It means a lot ( :

Had a great time volunteering here! The shifts are 4 hours a day it's enjoyable to talk with the students (typically ages 20-50). The managers are very accommodating to which 2 days you get off each week. The apartment is quite small (10 people with no living room, just a kitchen) but if you're used to/enjoy hostel life it's not a big deal. The food deliveries for breakfasts (cereal, milk, eggs, bread, and ramen) wouldn't last the whole week and were inconsistent during my 3 week stay. I wouldn't consider that breakfast is included like advertised which was disappointing.

At the language studio I had a great time speaking with the locals and met some very interesting people. It was also a great way to get some experience in a teaching role. The downsides were that I expected to feel more welcomed and part of a group when arriving, but this didn't really happen, especially among the volunteers. The accommodation was also very small and I decided to leave to a hostel halfway through. Despite this, The team at the studio are very nice and were happy to talk to me about anything while I was participating in the experience.

I had a really good time talking to the students. They are fun, engaging, and eager to communicate with us foreigners. I talked to so many people, from university students to people in the military, and even grandmothers who were learning English as a hobby. Each one of them had a fascinating story to tell. I was able to learn so much more about Korean culture because of this experience. MJ and Harry were lovely hosts and I thank them for the opportunity.
