I had a wonderful time at GBL. The workload is very reasonable. I had loads of spare time for hiking and travelling, and made forever friends. The hostel attracts the nicest of people, the vibe is homely and Marzena is understanding, accommodating and just a lovely person and boss. Whether as a volunteer or a guest, I plan on returning. If you love the outdoors, a cosy atmosphere, and socialising I recommend.

It was a really great time, one of my best volunteering experiences so far. I would definitely love to come back in the summer, hike this area during that season, and see all the lakes again that I saw frozen this time. Thank you, Marzena. I really appreciate everything and I'm very happy with my time there. I made friends for life! I hope to see you all next year, even if it's as a guest :)

I stayed at good bye the hostel at the beginning of the year and knew I had to come back to volunteer. It is super cozy with a couple friendly cats and great people! Marzena was very accommodating and friendly and the work was extremely fair. Highly recommend!!!

Since I stepped in at the hostel I felt like I was home. The cozy house is so warm bescuse its people. Marzena, the volunteers and the guests make of this hostel a very special place. The working hours were respected, and I had the chance to hike and explore the beautiful nature that surrounds the place. I certainly would love to come back. This is a very special place for the wanderers of heart to meet and grow. Thank you for everything ❤️

I had a lot of fun here. Tasks are clear. Other volunteers are around to assist. Host is only phone call away. I had plenty of free time to go hiking.

La verdad que el grupo que me encontré aquí fue realmente espectacular, todos los voluntarios de distintos países con muy buena onda y todos ayudándose, la verdad que el intercambio con los huéspedes también muy buenos y los momentos libres hay mucho para recorrer, los paisajes son hermosos y la dueña la verdad que espectacular lleva muy bien el hostel y así que todo, más que bien. Siento que podría haber hecho más cosas por lo cual seguramente regresaré. Realmente lo recomiendo

I had such a wonderful time at GBL. The work is straightforward and there is plenty of time to hike or spend your time however you like. The hostel itself is cozy and comfortable, and right across the street from an entrance to the National park. It's easy to take the bus into the hostel, and there is a small market close by so you don't always have to go to the center for groceries. Marzena is flexible and accommodating, and there are many other volunteers to hang out with, who made my time there really special.

It was the best experience I have ever had, Marzena is the best host! She cares so much about the place and you feeling comfortable. The hostel is really friendly, everyone is social and you can make friends for life very easily. And the place has the best hikes and nature really close. I really loved it. I hope I can go back soon!!

I had amazing time in the hostel. The place is incredibly beautiful and the Tatras amazing place if you love hiking. The volunteers , and the host, made me feel like home since day one. Highly recommended!

GBL Hostel is a unique and international place. You are very well received by Marzena who is a very nice and considerate person, you get to know people from all around the world. It's very well located, near the entrance to the National Park of Tatra Mountains. I recommend it to everyone who likes hiking and getting to know people form different places.
