I enjoyed so much in GBL! The host Marzena is warm and caring <3 The hours are very reasonable and we have lots of time for ourselves. It's super easy to make friends in the cozy living room. During the breakfast we can plan a hike and make a team. Every evening there's a special event to make sure nobody is bored. I really love the Pierogi night when we cook traditional food and see people eat with joy :) Most importantly of all, I love how the other volunteers become my family in the hostel, will be back for sure!

Volunteering at GBL was wonderful! The hostel is cozy. There is transportation to get around easily. Marzena is very attentive and kind. There are many leisure activities and hikes to do. Beautiful landscapes and lakes to explore. I loved it and already miss it! I recommend it! :)

Working in the hostel is a pleasure. I got immediately a feeling of arriving at home. Marzena is very helpful and kind and so was the whole team. We did the best of our time hosting the travelers and creating a warm atmosphere where everyone would feel great after a long hike. The area is very beautiful and for sure an experience to remember!

This was the most amazing experience you could possibly imagine! Marzena is the best host ever, you can talk to her about any concerns that you have. All of the volunteers were very helpful and the hostel gives such a homey vibe. The work is easy and not demanding at all. If I was to apply one more time I wouldn't think twice;)

Fue mi primera experiencia Worldpackers y un absoluto 10/10. Marzena me hizo sentir en casa y ayudó en todo lo que necesite, siendo muy clara en mis labores, horarios y respetuosa de mis tiempos libres. Mi lugar para dormir era cómodo y suficiente para descansar. Además, el ambiente que se respira en la hostal es de comunidad, siempre pudiendo conversar con gente de todo el mundo, compartir experiencias y divertirse. También destacar que se vive muy tranquilamente en ese sector del hostel, ya que está en el centro de la naturaleza. Sin dudas volvería a repetir la experiencia :D

This was my first volunteering experience and i couldn't ask for anything better. The work consists of cleaning the common areas, rooms, checking in/out guests and doing a little activity in the evening (putting on a movie, boiling pierogis, making pasta, hosting a game...) Marzena is the sweetest host; always warm, approachable and looking out for the volunteers well-being. At any time you can reach out to her! GBL will give you just what you're looking for. There's 6 beds in the attic so plenty of co-volunteers around! Take care of each other, share your meals when needed and love loud! ❤️

This was such an amazing experience that I would highly recommend! The hostel is so cozy and a great place to meet people from around the world, there are fantastic hikes nearby, and volunteering tasks are well explained and enjoyable. I am so thankful to have had this opportunity and would even love to return again in the future!

This is the best experience you can ever possibly do! It was amazing from the get go, everyone is so warm and welcoming and all the guests were usually very friendly and it was an excellent vibe. You usually work one full day a week from 7am to 12am(midnight) but the work is very easy and if you are quick/depending on the cleaning there is lots of time to chill during the day even when you are on shift. You can also request certain hours and Marzena is friendly and tries to be as accommodating as possible. Overall if you have the chance to do this, do it!

I loved the experience and I hope to come back soon ❤️. The hostel feels like a second home—very cozy and welcoming. The tasks are simple and clearly explained from the beginning, and the schedule is respected. It felt more like taking care of and keeping in order the place where you live. Marzena, the owner, is a lovely person; I also looked after her kids sometimes, and they are really sweet too. It's perfect if you enjoy disconnecting, being surrounded by nature, going on hikes 🥾and meeting wonderful people:)

A truly positive experience. The hostel is set in a beautiful location surrounded by mountains, making it a perfect spot for nature lovers. The work is relaxed and well-organized, allowing plenty of free time to explore the area and enjoy the outdoors. Evening events include games, pierogi and barbeque. The atmosphere at the hostel is friendly and welcoming. The hostel pets—Mao, Mia, and Majka—add a special charm and make the place feel even more like home. Marzena, best host so far.. supportive, approachable, and always ready to help. I can highly recommend and will surely be back :)
