Come volunteer at our little central hostel in Genova!

Genova is a really nice city to explore and there is a bunch of stuff to do in but also around the city. This was my first time volunteering at a hostel and it was a really good experience. The work is easy and well explained. The working hours are also very good, with a lot of flexibility to change your shifts. The atmosphere in the hostel was very welcoming and I got close to the other volunteers pretty fast which made it feel like having a second home. I can only really recommend this experience to other travelers.

Creo que la mejor experiencia que he tenido como voluntario! Los dueños son unas maravillosas personas, amables ,respetuosos y responsables, el Hostel es siempre limpio y ordenado, y tienes mucho tiempo libre para conocer la hermosa Italia❤️, volvería mil veces! Recomendado 100%, me llevo muy bellos recuerdos y feliz de haber estado en el hostel!

I do wanna start out by saying the owners were all very nice but we worked almost double the amount of hours listed. You work one day and get two days off but the day you work is a 16 and a half hour shift that you won't get sleep on so the following day you have off is pretty much for you to rest. I honestly just think there should be 4 volunteers instead of 3. Another thing I think is unfair is them expecting us to be super social our whole stay and if you're not putting in extra work they make it pretty clear you won't get a great review.

Wow, it's interesting to read here your opinions instead of speaking them directly to us during the multiple occasions we had. It's also interesting that you spent one month on such unfair circumstances - which had been explained in advance - but it's okay Lily, at least you stopped worrying about our bad review now! :D

Pasé seis semanas como voluntaria en el hostel y fue una experiencia muy enriquecedora! Conocí a muchas personas, practiqué inglés y aprendí italiano básico. Los horarios están muy bien, te dan la posibilidad de viajar bastante y se pueden reacomodar con tiempo si quisieras hacer un viaje más largo. Los dueños son muy amables y abiertos. Es un hostel acogedor en el centro de una ciudad con mucha personalidad

Volunteering at the hostel has been such a pleasure. The place they created has this strength of bringing people together so easily, doesn't take a lot of time to feel like you're living with roommates at home. It is impossible to describe how good and happy I felt in the hostel, in such good company (volunteers, guests and managers that I will miss deeply). The work is really manageable and you can feel that the guys are used to volunteers so they explain everything in a way that anyone could learn well. Grazie mille Abdel, Manu, Jul and Paul, for welcoming and trusting me.

Esta fue mi primera experiencia de voluntariado y no puedo estar más agradecida de haber escogido al hostel. Los turnos siempre se respetan y el trabajo es sencillo, ya que es un hostal pequeño, y te forman bien para poder hacer tu trabajo. Una de las cosas que más agradezco es la amabilidad de todos los dueños. También fue muy positivo compartir experiencia con otras dos voluntarias, ya que hicimos muy buena amistad. Gracias a tener a otras tres voluntarias era muy flexible el cambio de turnos si lo acordabas con ellas. Muy agradecida.

I had such a good month at the hostel! The work is never too hard, it is exactly as described, you get lots of free time plus the flexibility to swap shifts with the other 2 volunteers. The owners are all nice and always help with any issues that come up! You definitely meet a wide range of people in the hostel and I made some great friends. Genoa is a beautiful and varied city, with the sea and mountains and nearby coastal towns to explore, plus other cities within day trip/ overnight trip distance. The month flew by with so much to see and I wasn't ready to leave! I would recommend it.

As this was my second time volunteering, I was nervous on what to expect. My first volunteering experience was amazing, the host was absolutely incredible, communication and responsibilities were very clear. The other volunteers became friends in made for life. Having this previously experience, i was not sure the hostel would be able to match that of the previous one. HOWEVER, it amazed me on everything i expected. I didn't think there could be a better place to volunteer. But at the hostel, things were different. Genova is a special place for me. I think i will come back soon :) thank u

It was a great experience. It was my first time using Worldpackers and the staff from the hostel was so great with everything. I know it's cheesy, but I felt like I was in home so many times, but also experiencing something really different and special. I met so many people from different parts of the world, made so many friends. The work is easy and comfortable. Also the staff are so flexible and comprehensive that you feel good about everything. Highly recommend. 10/10
