This was my first experience as a volunteer and it couldn't have been better. The staff is lovely and I've met wonderful people. The tasks are easy and you have a lot of free time . Edinburgh is an great city and the hostel's location is perfect, right in the centre of the city. I definitely recommend volunteering here. Thank you for everything! :)

The staff of the hostel were really welcoming and friendly. They make sure that you've settled in and are comfortable doing the tasks allotted to you. It's a positive environment to be around in and meeting people from different parts of the world. The plus point is that the hostel is located in the centre having access to all the attractions just few mins by walk. I would definitely recommend this place for anybody who'd like to experience volunteering in a hostel.

It has been one of the best experiences abroad so far, I was very sad to leave and if I didn't have other plans I would have stayed longer. The staff was like a family, I had a lot of fun and met many new people and made good friendships.It is an experience that I recommend to everyone to those who want have an experience of personal growth also to improve with the languages.Work as cleaner it's easy and just few hours in the morning.Next time maybe I'll go back to work maybe I'll ask as a receptionist since by now I've learned from Sergio..I miss you all guys I hope to be back soon <3

This was my first experience as a volunteer and when I first departed I had no clue on what I could expect, I just packed my luggage and took the plane, and this is exactly what I recommend everyone to do. I spent one month in this hostel (perfect location) and it has been the most incredible and fun experience in my life. I met plenty of different people,all nice and friendly, especially the staff who will always try to make you feel comfortable, indeed, after one day I already felt at home.It is like being in a big family and,if you come here with an open mind, u will make the greatest memo

Volunteering at Edinburghs Backpacker Hostel has been one of the most enriching experiences in my life. You work and live among people who are pushing forward, hard working really friendly. The working is alright once you get used to it, it's just 3 hours and it goes by fastly. Sergio is an incredible man, he was always taking care of our comfort and wellbeing doing the volunteering, as well as our enjoyment. The hostel itself is really beautiful, the best one I've been in for sure. In my stay I met a lot of people in the hostel, both staff and guests and all of them were friendly with eachoth

Due to a paid job offer elsewhere I unfortunately had to leave this position early, so I only experienced the hostel briefly. However Sergio made me feel very welcome when I arrived and was also understanding when I had to leave. The hostel has nice facilities including a big common room, a TV lounge, plenty of storage in the kitchen, and many bathrooms. The location also is so perfect for tourists, with so many things to see in walking distance!

Bajo mi punto de vista el voluntariado está planteado como un trabajo no un intercambio cultural. El trabajo es intenso, son más 4 hs por día que 3. Mi estadía fue corta y no coincide mucho con la dinámica del hostel que necesita personas por largo plazo. Como todo depende de lo que uno busque, la ubicación es fantástica, el hostel muy cómodo para vivir, y me cruce con lindas personas.

I had a real great time in the hostel, besides, is very well located. Tasks are also easy, it can be pretty busy when there are only a few volunteers working, especially sundays and mondays because there's a large number of check outs but usually in those days they also try to have more staff members helping. I wish you good luck with the stairs because there's a lot haha however, it was a good experience in the hostel and Edinburgh is also a great city! :)

Edinburgh is a nice city. This experience was okay. They give a 1 week trial which is good, as I got to try this out before continuing. Unfortunately it wasn't for me. Thank you for having me.

This is a fun and vibrant space wherein to meet other people from around the world and make friends. There are often many ways to connect with the local community by visiting bars and parks or going further afield to the surrounding towns and cities. I have felt supported in the job (which is easy by the way, just 15- 20 hours per week) and encouraged to live an exciting, engaging life in Edinburgh when not working. Overll a great experience, thanks guys!
