Ha sido mi primer voluntariado y no puedo estar más feliz y contenta!!!! Los dos primeros días creia que no aguantaría ya que hay días en que el trabajo se hace duro, pero es impresionante lo que viví allí, en medio de la jungla, rodeada de todo tipo de fauna y flora. El trabajo es duro los dos primeros días hasta que te habitúas pero Elmer prepara unos desayunos de escándalo, es una máquina cocinando y trabajando, creo que no hay persona en el mundo más atenta y servicial que él. He estado tan a gusto que después de recorrer el país he alargado mi estancia para quedarme otro tiempito allí. 😘

Esta experiencia ha sido maravillosa! He aprendido mucho! Trabajar alli era como hacerlo en casa, siempre vigilan q puedas hacer la tarea, Elmer es un gran cocinero, nos preparaba unos desayunos y almuerzos para chuparse los dedos! Conoci otros voluntarios con los q hicimos una relacion de amistad muy bonita. Lo recomiendo 100%!!! Y volvere en cuanto el destino me lo permita!!! Muchas gracias! Comentar q fui con ni hijo de 11 años y para el tamvien fue una gran experiencia, y se portaron genial, tanto Elmer como Esteban, como todos los voluntarios!

Honestly I would recommend this experience for anyone ready to take it on! Be prepared for 4 inch spiders, lots of dirt, sun and you will always be sweaty. Overall the work was worth the downtime and the prime spot with beautiful places in the river to swim and even a great waterfall. This is in the middle of the jungle and can take up to an hour-ish walk to get to the shore. Take the days off though to explore the beautiful beaches and swimming. The town is touristy so groceries are expensive and the farm probably won't tell you ahead of time to buy toilet paper

I enjoyed this experience :) The place is unique and amazing and the people were nice and welcoming. I wouldn't recommend this to people that are scared of bugs, snakes and dirt. For people that want to connect with nature and be cut off modern world this place is perfect. The kitchen is very simple and the food is cooked on open fire. You can choose between cooking your own meals or pay for delicious meals made from the chef Elmer. Bring enough cash because drake bay don't have any atm's :( The electricity is made from solar power enough to charge the phone during the day and for light.

La granja es muy lindo, te ayuda a conectar con la naturaleza, ya que te encuentras inmerso en la selva, se puede apreciar gran variedad de flora y fauna. "Paisaje Hermosos". Los trabajos a realizar son tal cual lo de la descripción. El único inconveniente que tuve fue el entorno social, el cual se puede mejorar teniendo mejores relaciones y energía positiva entre anfitrión y voluntarios y entre mismos anfitriones

As my first experience I definitely would recommend this place to others as a first time, the food that was offered to us was amazing! Being out in the jungle and just being away from the city life was something I was looking forward to and I got that. There were some drawbacks that I was dissatisfied with, I came to learn about living self sufficient and the importance of growing your own food and that is something I didn't learn at all while I was there. Maybe because I came around the rainy season but still there was no set blueprint drawn out to what we were going to do from week to week.

It wasnt quite what I expected. I didn't learn anything about sustainability and certain things they did were farm from ecological. Because of the humidity, they sometimes needed to burn a plastic sac to start the fire. I knew what I signed up for but the conditions were still too rough for me so I left after 1 week (not the full 3). Knowing Spanish is a MUST. Luckily I met another girl who could translate. Heads up it's very damp, nothing will dry in less than 3 days. Mould was starting to grow on our bags. But the jungle is very peaceful! I liked reading in the hammocks and the dogs.

Mi experiencia en Río la granja me ayudó a conectarme con la naturaleza y conmigo misma. Conocí a otros voluntarios con lo que nos llevamos muy bien. Recomiendo que vayan con lo necesario ya que se debe caminar del pueblo a la finca. Elmer es un anfitrión muy chévere y siempre está puesto a ayudar a los voluntarios en todo lo que se pueda necesitar. Fue una experiencia muy buena.

Muy recomendado para las personas que desean conectar con la naturaleza y que les gusta caminar. Elmer es muy amable y sobre todo excelente cocinero.

Este lugar funciona muy bien para el que se quiera desconectar y tener contacto con la naturaleza ya que se adentra un poco a la selva. No tuvimos mucho contacto con el anfitrión pero estuvimos con Elmer quien nos trató súper bien y nos hizo sentir como en casa sobre todo al momento de prepararnos la comida (muy buena). Las tareas son bien divididas y cumples con tus 4 horas diarias y sobre todo Elmer también ayuda como uno más. Lo único que pudiese decir que deben mejorar es cuando se llega a Drake es que alguien te reciba ya que uno al llegar no sabe hacia dónde debe dirigirse.
