I really enjoyed staying in Alvor. The work was easy to do and you picked up the tasks fast. Alvor is a cute town and the beach is reachable by foot, but I would not recommend staying longer than two weeks, because there is not a ton of stuff you can do. Overall a great experience!

Hola! Soy javi, viaje junto a caro , mi amiga, desde Punta Arenas-Chile.Esta fue nuestra primera experiencia de voluntariado y resultó ser perfecta. Cristina y joaquin son dos personas maravillosas, por un lado cristina lider , resolutiva y carismatica, por otro lado joaquin una persona muy sencilla, pasiva y carismatica. En relacion al trabajo realizamos tareas de jardineria como quitar malezas y limpiar el huerto ,y tambien tareas de limpieza en los hoteles. Es perfecto para recorrer los lugares cercanos en tiempos libres , conectar con los otros voluntarios y disfrutar.MUY RECOMENDADO!

Este fue mi primer voluntariado y realmente fue una hermosa experiencia donde me sentí muy en casa, gracias a las comodidades de la casa y comunidad que formamos con mis queridos compañeros 💖 Mis labores favoritas fueron en la quinta junto a Joaquim que siempre nos contaba muchas historias divertidas. Estoy agradecida de cada detalle entregado por Cristina, y especialmente a Flavio y Ana por su linda energía y hacernos sentir como en casa. El único detalle es considerar mejorar el desayuno ofrecido cuando toca hacerlo en casa. Todo lo demás estuvo de maravilla! Muy agradecida 🌷✨️

I had a wonderful time in Alvor with Cristina!The city is quite small but very cute and there are a lot of activities and amazing places to visit nearby.The working hours were always respected and the tasks were quite easy to learn and Cristina was always very available for any question or request.I stayed in the accomodation that is a little bit far from the city centre but Alvor was easy to reach. The flat had everything we needed, the kitchen was well equipped.Cristina was an amazing host, she was lovely, extremely welcoming and always positive! I had a great time with the other volunteers!

Cristina y Joaquin fueron personas increíbles ! Fue mi primer voluntariado y realmente lo volvería hacer, Alvor es muy lindo, Sus playas son tranquilas. Lo que más me gustó del voluntariado fue el desayuno en el hotel jajaja… si necesitas ayuda extra puedes contar con los anfitriones, siempre fueron predispuestos. Espero volver algún día! Saludos a Fabio y a los demás voluntarios que me acompañaron, un gran equipo !!! Gracias

This was my first volunteer experience and I had a lovely time! Cristina and Fabio were lovely and made you feel at home, the work was pretty easy and the same each day. Alvor is a cute village even if there isnt that much to do, but there are lots of buses to nearby towns like Portimao which are great to visit as well. The accommodation is nice as it had a kitchen, laundry and a pool even if it was a little far, the only thing I would say is that it could be more modernised. The other volunteers made the experience wonderful!

Cristina is a lovely person and was very welcoming to us the whole time we were there. She was very clear on the work that needed to be done everyday and it was never too hard or too long. Alvor is a great place although can be a bit quiet if you were there for more than 2 weeks.

This was the second period of volunteering Elliot and myself did. Cristina was an amazing host who continuously went out her way to ensure that we felt at home. Not one bad thing we could say about her or anyone else we worked with. The work hours were clearly defined and the work itself was easy. We were accommodated in a flat with other volunteers who also made the experience a lot more fun. We both thoroughly enjoyed our time in Alvor and would recommend it.

Fue una linda experiencia, estuve más que todo en el área de cocina con Cristina, que siempre fue muy amable, la casa es muy acogedora y Alvor mucho más, además de que está muy cerca de las playas. Me llevo con mucho cariño a Cristina y toda la familia de guesthouse ❤️
