The experience was amazing! I made some good friends from there! the hostel is very well located and the facilities very good. the team of volunteers lived in an apartment next to the hostel, which was fun! the tasks were simple, but to be full high season in algarve we all work hard haha. the schedules are respected and they are flexible if you need to make any changes. super recommendable !!!

I had an amazing time in Faro and I'm so glad I chose this place because it was my first experience and I loved it. I worked doing the night shifts In Casa D'Lagoa and all the staff was really nice to me, the workload was fair and I made good friends. Thank you the hostel for being my home for 7 weeks.

The hostel was an experience of ups and downs. The schedule is bit confusing. They have two hostels and they decide in which one you will work (if you applied as a cleaner). Working at the hostel is fine, but working at Casa d' Alagoa they make you clean apartments that are not part of hostel, this is uncool. Nuno, the owner, is very open to conversation and very reasonable, so you can negotiate directly with him about your issues (or Alexandra). Overall the structure, the things provided and the interaction with guests and other volunteers can give you a good experience. Good location.

My experience was fine... But being honest it wasn't how I expected. The hostel is in a great location, Faro is cute city and you can easily go to the beach by bus or boat.

The hostel has an awesome structure! The rooms and all facilities are pretty much brand new and its location is perfect for going around by foot. It's known to be the biggest hostel in Europe,as well. The night shift position is quite easy to learn and to manage having some picks at weekends, as it is in any hostel. The team needs to work better on scheduling 'cause sometimes it can get really confusing to plan your day off. Besides that, Faro is a quite small city and depending on what you're looking for a month could be too much but enough to get to know all the main places in Algarve.
