The ideal first Worldpackers experience. The hostels are as pristine and characterful as you could wish for, well deserving of their high reputation, and Faro was exactly the right kind of place, for me at least, to start my journey at - beautiful and relaxed. The work was perfectly reasonable, and the time flies by housekeeping with the troops - big obrigados to Lou, Tai, Kas, Fabi, everyone. Strong recommendation, the lifestyle is a fine one, getting out a good amount to nature and enjoying a sweet nightlife with the captains of the pub crawls, the other volunteers, staff and guests.

Mi experiencia en el hostel fue muy buena, el hostel es muy bonito, mi equipo de trabajo fue muy bueno, tanto empleados como voluntarios, también el dueño y otros cargos son muy buenos!! Me llevo buenas amistades, mejore mi portugués, se respetan las tareas a realizar y no son complicadas. Pude conocer un poco el algarve (es caro🥲) pero con la estadía aquí podrás ayudarte. También logré hacer amistades de muchos países, muchas gracias por la oportunidad siempre los recordare y si tengo la oportunidad de volver lo haré.

Es una ciudad muy linda, desde ahí puedes moverte a distintas playas y también tienes fiesta Tuve el agrado de que las recepcionistas me recibieron muy bien como Rebeca, Patricia, Caro y Giovana, y también Tida, Ana y Mauricio, me hicieron sentir en casa y me apoyaron siempre El trabajo es exactamente como se describe y se respetan los horarios Lo recomiendo totalmente!! consideren que te quedas en un lugar muy acogedor y tranquilo pero el cuarto es pequeño sin ventilación y no queda en Hostelicius sino en Casa dalagoa Hay algunos trabajadores que no te tratan muy bien por ser voluntaria.

My time at Casa d'Alagoa was awesome! It was my first time ever volunteering/travelling abroad, and I'm very happy to have been with the hostel team. Work is split between housekeeping and dinner/breakfast shifts. The housekeeping is hard! But it goes by fast and the housekeeping staff are very kind. Bring water, fan, bandaids! The dinner shifts are super fun, social and engaging with delicious food. The room at Casa is hot! Communication between staff/volunteers was sometimes unclear, but the team is great and easy to work with. Overall I had an amazing time, can't wait to go back! :D

Working at the hostel was my first experience with volunteering, and I'm amazed by this opportunity! At first, it was a bit challenging because I'd never done housekeeping before, but after a couple of days, I started helping with the dinner service every night. It was incredible! It's a great opportunity to meet new people who come as guests, as well as the staff working there. During the day, I had plenty of time to do whatever I wanted,and in the afternoon/evening, I was in charge of the dinners and specials events. I highly reccomend trying this experience!

I spent very good time in hostelicius,I help with the housekeeping and in the restaurant,the hostel is located very central so is excellent to explore Faro city.The schedule is fair,the food is beautiful I meet a lot of new travellers and volunteers,it was nice experience,thank you Hostelicius Team

Lovely staff, amazing food, a clean hostel and many travelers to meet. Volunteering at the hostel was all in all an amazing experience, but I recommend not staying for too long because there isn't much to do in Faro after a few days.

It was a great pleasure to volunteer at the hostel, the staff was very attentive and friendly. The structure of the Hostel is incredible. The working hours are respected. To get to the nearest beach you need to take a 30-minute ferry, the city is small but offers everything: shopping mall, cinema, markets, airport, bus station and nearby train. I thank you with all my heart to have the opportunity to be there and meet such special people. ❤️
