The hostel is a one-of-a-kind place, starting with the neighborhood, Santa Teresa, which is an iconic part of Rio de Janeiro. The accommodation is comfortable and the breakfast is incredible! I was never disrespected, and the experience was incredibly enriching.

This was my third volunteer experience and personally my favourite! I worked at reception for 28 hours over 3.5 days 2-10pm. The work was fun and easy for me, I personally felt respected by the managers and got along great with everyone. For the paid staff there are 2 managers and a couple of cleaners, the rest of the hostel are all volunteers which is fun but can be chaotic at times. I think having set rules/expectations as a volunteer will provide more clarity for future volunteers! You get free breakfast, bed in a volunteer dorm and access to some free parties/drinks which was very fun.

Disfruté mucho de la experiencia. El lugar es muy bonito (Sala de Netflix, Coliving, Cocina, Bar, Piscina, Patio, Mesa de Ping-Pong) y cuentan con muchos beneficios (Desayuno abundante, caipirinha diaria, entradas a fiestas, descuentos, lavandería, churrasco, fogata) Personalmente, se respetaron los horarios y tareas establecidas. Hay muchos voluntarios, lo cual es fantástico porque conocí mucha gente maravillosa. El barrio donde queda ubicado Santa Teresa es hermoso. Dicho esto, sí hay aspectos a mejorar en cuanto a liderazgo. Se percibía un ambiente muy tenso en cuanto a la comunicación.

Durante mis 3 meses como voluntario en recepción, pude practicar inglés y portugués; Y aprender sobre sistemas y la organización operativa de un gran hostel y en expansión. Fue una experiencia de mucho aprendizaje, especialmente porque me ayudó a adaptarme rápidamente a un entorno en constante movimiento. Recomiendo este lugar a voluntarios abiertos, dinámicos y flexibles, con iniciativa y ganas de aprender. Lo mas lindo de vivir ahí es el bebé de casa 🐕 y las vistas 🏝️

A really amazing experience, the hostel was very social and s really cool hostel in general, lots of places to chill out with an amazing pool snd good views of the city and Christo. Also the best brasilian churrasco in brasil. Highly reccomend someone volunteering here. Shoutout to Santiago snd Lennon 2 really good managers. And pablo another volunteer helped me out alot snd worked very hard Thank u guys.

Meine Erfahrung als Freiwilliger im das Hostel in Santa Teresa über Worldpackers war unglaublich. Die Bau- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten werden mit viel Liebe von den Freiwilligen ausgeführt, die immer ihr Bestes geben, was sich in jedem Detail des Ortes widerspiegelt. Das Anwesen verfügt über eine Infrastruktur mit großem Potenzial und einer ganz besonderen Energie. Das Zusammenleben mit anderen Freiwilligen und Gästen war sehr bereichernd und führte zu echten Freundschaften. Außerdem ist die umliegende Natur beeindruckend und voller Leben.

El hostel es un lugar hermoso para conocer gente y pasar momentos fantásticos. El grupo de voluntarios es grande, el hostel muy lindo para disfrutar, el desayuno super completo. Sin embargo, como voluntaria, no respetaron las tareas en las que habíamos acordado. Hice tres turnos distintos, ninguno de los cuales para lo que vine. Las habitaciones fueron en un primer momento bastante precarias e incómodas, no estabamos comodos ni podiamos descansar bien. La exigencia para con los voluntarios es bastante alta y a veces un poco hostil, lo cual puede generar un ambiente un poco tenso.

O the hostel é um espaço muito especial. A arquitetura e os detalhes do lugar são muito lindos. Fiquei três meses montado o café da manhã e tive uma experiência muito boa. Recomendo para qualquer pessoa que tenha interesse em ficar em Santa Teresa. Obrigado por ter me acolhido no Rio.

I had a really great experience volunteering at this hostel. I met so many amazing people during my stay and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the first day. Everyone was incredibly sweet and helpful, both the staff and the guests. I worked at the reception and honestly, the work didn't even feel like work because the vibe was so relaxed and enjoyable. I really enjoyed my time here and would recommend this experience to anyone looking for a friendly, social, and supportive place to volunteer. I'm very grateful for the memories and the people I met!
