This was my first volunteer experience, I spent a month here and had a great time! The team was very friendly and welcoming. I made some great memories during my stay here! Though I got to say this is not an extremely social hostel, so the vibe and socializing depends on the volunteers and guests. There were times where the social aspect lacked a bit but it was always nice to talk to guests. The working hours could feel a bit long at times when there wasn't a lot to do but there was always someone to chat with. Thanks to this experience I learned new things and met amazing people☺️🫶

I had a great experience at the hostel! Jen and the whole staff are amazing people and always made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Work is easy to learn, even if sometimes the shifts are a bit long. The pocket money and the food budget are a big plus. The location is perfect and the atmosphere in the hostel is always friendly e welcoming. I truly reccomend this volunteering experience!

Normalmente estamos acostumados a ouvir histórias não muito legais, mas essa experiência me fez ver o voluntariado de outra forma. I had an amazing experience at the hostel! Jen is truly wonderful—such a kind and supportive person. Speaking Portuguese or Spanish will definitely be an advantage here, as it makes communication smoother. While I did find the working hours a bit long for a volunteer position, the overall experience and what you get in return more than make up for it.

I don't have enough words to express how amazing was this experience for me. Since the first moment I got to the hostel it felt like home. I made friends who became family not only with other volunteers but also with the staff. the hostel Hostal and Lisbon now and always will have a piece of my heart. I also want to thank Jen for being such a wonderful person with all of us, she was our mamá gallina always taking care of us. I miss everyone already. In the other hand the job was very easy and the instructions so clear. The pocket money and the food budget it's such a plus n the food was delicious

I don't have the words to express how incredible my 5 weeks were at the hostel. The staff is the perfect size (~8 people) to meet a new group of lifelong friends, and I'll fondly look back on the memories we shared together for the rest of my life. The hostel itself is clean, friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and pleasant. The breakfast and pizza are amazing, the location of the hostel is perfect, and the fact that the volunteer staff get their own shared dorm room is unmatched! The work is extremely reasonable, and the managers are extremely friendly and flexible. I miss it already!

Amazing experience! the hostel staff (jen, matheus, gopi, javi, zoe and vicho) are the nicest people ever and always made me feel comfortable and included, were also very patient and attentive while I was in training and/or working, I've never felt alone to deal with any situation. apart from that all the other volunteers that I got to meet during my stay there were the sweetest and I'm gonna miss everyone so much! the hostel provides a really nice and welcoming community, great for practicing different languages and get to know people. work is not hard and the breakfast and pizza are great!

The best experience. Everything is of the best level in the hostel. The people, the facilities, the food. A very relaxed atmosphere to work and make friends. I've volunteered before but never in a place like the hostel. All the staff will always be very kind to you.
