This is our volunteer house, surrounded by forest and village life, and made up of a mud house, bamboo house, and a simple regular house. We’re looking for a creative, hands-on volunteer to help improve and redesign our secret jungle hideout in Balangoda, Sri Lanka. This is our volunteer house, surrounded by forest and village life, and made up of a mud house, bamboo house, and a simple regular house.

Your role will be to rearrange spaces, redesign layouts, and add creative touches—wall art, murals, decorations, and nature-inspired design ideas. You’ll be working with basic tools and local or recycled materials, so creativity is key.

Perfect for artists, designers, architects, DIY lovers, or anyone who enjoys turning simple spaces into beautiful, functional places. No formal experience needed—just imagination, initiative, and a love for nature.

You’ll stay at our jungle volunteer house, experience simple eco-living, and leave a real, visible impact on the space for future volunteers.

This is a rural, low-resource setting, so flexibility and a positive attitude are important. If you enjoy creative freedom, jungle vibes, and meaningful hands-on work, this place is for you.

🧸You will have creative freedom, and your ideas will genuinely shape the space.

This position is suitable for volunteers who are:

🐈Interested in art, design, architecture, interior styling, or creative building
🐈Comfortable working in a rural, nature-based environment
🐈Hands-on, self-motivated, and adaptable
🐈Open to simple living and eco-friendly practices
🐈Happy to collaborate, but also able to work independently
🐈Formal qualifications are not required—creativity, initiative, and practical skills matter most.
