This was my first volunteering experience and I honestly couldn't have wished for a better experience. Upon arrival, all the volunteers were very welcoming so within just a few days I felt right at home. All of the expectations of the tasks are always communicated beforehand so I found our daily tasks not difficult at all. Really appreciate everyone here for making my time here memorable (:

This has been my first experience as a volunteer and I'm so happy that has been here. I've stayed one month and I felt that I was at home the whole time. Chris, Hervé and Virginie are just the best, always there if you need something and trying to do the best for this hostel. They have created a big family and even if we are on the other side of the world I'm sure that all of us are going to remember this with a lot of love. I'll definitely repeat next year. Thanks Virginie, Chris, Hervé and all the volunteers for making this month the best of my life, I'm going to miss you 🫶🏻

I absolutely loved volunteering at DBH!! The work wasn't hard and the hours were always respected. The friends I made here were incredible and I'm so thankful for the experience!

I've been delaying my review since I don't want to say goodbye to this wonderful place, I guess everything in life comes to an end…except memories! And let me tell you that the memories we created in this volunteering where incredible, since day 1 I felt like home, not because of the place (Which is literally in the middle of Downtown; great base point) but because of the staff and of course other volunteers, Chris is a fucking Leyend! Very professional, respectful, funny and he does some great Tiramisu's haha, got here not knowing anyone and ended up leaving with a “family”…Thank you!

This was my first volunteering experience and it was truly wonderful Chris, Hervé, and the team welcomed me with such kindness and care. I felt supported from the start, and quickly became part of the group. I made great friends, learned a lot and truly enjoyed the daily tasks the hostel is a charming city, and I also got to visit nearby places. I'm very grateful for everything and would love to return someday <3

First of all, I'd like to thank Chris and Hervé for giving me the chance to be part of this amazing experience. Since the first day, I felt like one of the team. the hostel is a vibrant and friendly city, filled with interesting and lovely people and it's location is pretty convenient if you want to discover Scotland, and the museums are simply amazing! I couldn't possibly have chosen a better place to have my first experience abroad, and I'd love to be back someday if life allows me to.

I had an amazing experience in the hostel, it was an amazing month spent there where I felt extremely welcomed. Chris Herve and all the staff are very nice and kind and made feel home from the first moment. The tasks are easy, working hours are well respected, the staff room is super comfortable and so all the common areas. Also the hostel is super central so it was easy to travel around. I would totally recommend this volunteer and would love to be back! :)
