The hostel is massive, but at the same time super cozy! It's not a party hostel, it's more of a family hostel, but you can also have some fun (they even have a nice games room where you can play the pool table for free hahah). My favorite part of the hostel was definitely the reading room. It's super comfortable and quiet: perfect time to get away a little bit and just sit, relax and enjoy a good book. The wifi is not that good, though. So as a digital nomad, but was kind of a bummer, because I struggled during my online classes.

The work is easy and the staff is very nice and hepfull. Also you can visit a lot of beautifull places in the region, public transport is great.

I went to the hostel just as a way to make time to continue my travels but I ended up leaving with friends from all over the world and in a way a new home.

This was my first volunteering in Worldpackers and the first doing cleaning tasks, but it wasn't difficult at all, just a few hours in the day and a lot of free time (the bad thing, gets dark too early in autumn). But in the end I got exactly what we agreed to. I can't be happier of knowing these persons, the staff members, the residents and of course the managers, Chris and Herve. the hostel is a special place to be, and the hostel is a light in middle of the High Street, I felt in home. Thank you guys, let me a nice review hahaha, see you sooner than later, alligator.

The hostel was my first experience as a volunteer and I'm so grateful for how they treated me. The people and the city made me feel like I was safe and warm, I didn't want to go to another place. I highly recommend this place :)

Life at the hostel was super! The guys are very easy-going, funny, helpful and kind. They listened and accepted all my requests for the free time I had for traveling (thank you very much guysss). The job is not difficult at all, it's basically cleaning and tidying the hostel's rooms, and if there's a lot to do, you're never left alone doing it. The other people were very nice and friendly, I definitely made new friends and learned a little bit of spanish too. We shared a lot of funny stuff and we laughed a lot. I recommend this experience to everyone! I'll be back one day 💗

It was a fantastic experience, I felt very comfortable from the beginning. I was able to experience a lot of beautiful scenery and local culture. I can only thank the staff at the hostel and highly recommend it. I would come back without hesitation.

I've had a great time at the hostel. I've had the opportunity to meet people from different countries and they were all friendly and helpful. The tasks that the volunteers have to do are not difficult, we are trained before we start and when the hostel is busy and there are lots of rooms to clean the manager and assistant manager give you a hand you don't feel overloaded with work. The team is great and the hostel is a charming sunny city on the east of Scotland. I highly recommend this experience for travelers who want to visit Scotland, not only Edinburgh. Thanks, guys!!

I spent just under a month at the hostel and I found everyone warm, welcoming and really friendly. The staff in particular went out of their way to make me feel welcome and introduce me to the hostel. Would highly recommend!

La experiencia fue mucho mejor de lo que esperaba, tanto a nivel humano como laboral. Es un increíble hostel antiguo, bien cuidado y equipado con todo lo que se necesita. Tiene muchos espacios diferentes donde compartir con otros o hacer tus cosas. El personal y los voluntarios siempre están dispuestos a ayudar; aconsejar sobre lugares para visitar; compartir una caminata, comida, juego o película. Fue un mes y medio intenso, en un momento especial de mi vida. No puedo estar más agradecida por todos los buenos momentos que viví y las excelentes personas que conocí. Espero verlos pronto
