The experience

Hello everyone! 🌿

We are David (35), Felix (8), Norah (6) and Lotte (2) from the Netherlands, and we own a small house with around 8 hectares of fields and forest in Balșa, Romania. Here we live together with our dogs, cats, pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, turkeys, and geese.

We truly believe we have a beautiful spot here, and we warmly welcome you to visit and help us create an even more peaceful and harmonious place on Earth. ✨

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Free Events: Get free entrance for the best events in town.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent Dutch or Fluent English

Between 18 and 80 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Activities & Shift

-Maintaining and upgrading existing structures and systems (fencing, buildings, water systems, paths and roads).
-Cooking and washing dishes.
-Gathering firewood.
-Fencing and clearing land.
-Feeding the animals and occasionally cleaning their shelters.
-Many small tasks that naturally come with this lifestyle.
-Entertaining the kids.
-Playing board games with us and our nearest neighbours, who have an amazing board game collection, and making music together. 🎲🎶

We don’t work with fixed hours or times. If you prefer a clear schedule, we can create one. Normally, we simply see what you’d like to learn or experience and go from there.
