What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Fluent English or Fluent Spanish

Between 18 and 45 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Be from outside Egypt

Program Details

We’re looking for independent, respectful, and creative volunteers to help us with:

👋 Welcoming guests and sharing basic info
🎨 Helping with the cleaning of the guest house
🧹 Organizing shared spaces
🌱 Watering the plants

In return, you’ll live in a peaceful setting away from crowds, dive into Nubian traditions, and share meals, stories, and calm vibes with our team 💬🌍

You'll work about 6 hours/day, 5 days/week, with plenty of free time to explore, relax by the river, or join local outings!

Activities & Shift

We will need your help in the morning to prepare breakfast for the guests who have paid for it. And take care of reception duties for a few hours per day, we will discuss the shifts every week.

At the guest house, we already have someone who handles most of the cleaning, but when we are fully booked, she needs help with a room, shared areas, the kitchen, sweeping the hallways a few times a day, cleaning the terrace, or anything else that comes up. On days when her workload is light, we need help doing deeper cleaning of doors, windows, tiles, decor, and the outside of the guest house.

Rules

💬 Respect for others & shared spaces
🚭 No smoking, alcohol, or drugs inside (you can smoke on the terrace)
🔇 Quiet hours: 10 PM – 8 AM
🍽 Volunteers buy and cook their own meals. We provide breakfast ingredients, but lunch and dinner are on you unless we share a community dinner.
