Rules
To ensure a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable experience for everyone in the hostel, we kindly ask all volunteers to follow these rules:
1. Respect Quiet Hours
Please keep noise to a minimum during quiet hours (usually 11 PM – 7 AM) to ensure all guests can rest comfortably.
2. No Drinking to Excess or Disruptive Behavior
Alcohol is allowed in moderation, but volunteers must remain respectful, responsible, and never work under the influence.
3. No Bringing Strangers Into Volunteer/Staff Areas
For safety, only registered guests and staff can access internal areas such as staff rooms, storage rooms, and volunteer dorms.
4. Maintain Professional Conduct with Guests
Friendly interactions are encouraged, but volunteers should remain respectful, polite, and avoid inappropriate or uncomfortable behavior.
5. Keep Your Personal Space Clean
Volunteer rooms and shared areas must be kept tidy and organized. We expect you to clean up after yourself at all times.
6. Follow the Task Instructions Provided
If you’re unsure about any task, please ask. Incorrect or incomplete tasks can cause issues for guests and other volunteers.
7. No Last-Minute Schedule Changes Without Notice
If you need to adjust your shift for any reason, let us know in advance so we can organize the schedule properly.
8. Respect Hostel Property
Please use equipment and supplies responsibly and report any damage or issues immediately.
9. No Overnight Guests Allowed
For safety and policy reasons, volunteers are not allowed to bring outsiders to stay for free in the hostel.
10. Be a Good Team Player
This includes communication, cooperation, and maintaining a positive attitude — even during busy moments.
