Description:
Fees cover essential costs that ensure a quality, safe, and impactful experience. Your fee includes accommodation with host families, two daily meals, experienced local coordinators who provide orientation and 24/7 support and safety measures, weekly city tours, and transportation coordination. Importantly, fees also employ local staff, fund project materials, and support sustainable community development.

Program Details
Make a meaningful impact by volunteering as a teacher in vibrant Sri Lankan communities. This program connects passionate volunteers with local schools and community centers where English education opens doors to better opportunities for students of all ages.
What You'll Do
Teach English to children, teenagers, or adults in classrooms, community centers, or informal learning spaces. You'll help students develop conversational skills, improve grammar and vocabulary, support literacy development, and build confidence in using English. Lessons are interactive and fun think games, songs, storytelling, and creative activities rather than rigid textbooks. You'll also assist local teachers, prepare lesson materials, and may help with other subjects like math, computer skills, or arts and crafts.
No Experience Required
You don't need teaching qualifications. just enthusiasm, patience, and creativity. We provide orientation, teaching resources, and ongoing support from experienced coordinators who help you plan engaging lessons and navigate classroom dynamics.
Your students
Work with eager learners from rural villages or small towns who are excited to practice English with native or fluent speakers. Class sizes vary, and students range from curious young children to motivated adults seeking better job prospects.
Schedule & Lifestyle
Work 4 days weekly, mornings only (8-11am, 12 hours total), leaving 3 days free for exploring Sri Lanka's stunning beaches, ancient temples, lush tea plantations, and wildlife reserves. Enjoy home-cooked Sri Lankan meals with your host family and weekly city tours to experience local culture.
Cultural Immersion
Activities & Shift
Work just 4 days weekly (8-11am, 12 hours total) in schools and community programs, with 3 days off for sightseeing and leisure. Enjoy home-cooked meals at 7am, 12:30pm, and 7pm. Experience cultural immersion with local families, weekly city tours on Mondays, and time to explore Sri Lanka's beaches, temples, and tea plantations. Full support provided.
Rules
No drugs or smoking in accommodations and workplaces
Respect colleagues, host families, and community members at all times
No offensive language or inappropriate behavior
Proper attire required on workdays (modest, culturally appropriate clothing covering shoulders and knees)
Punctuality for meal times, work hours, and scheduled activities
Respect local customs and religious sites (remove shoes at temples, dress modestly)
No alcohol consumption before or during work hours
Communicate absences to coordinators in advance
Maintain cleanliness in shared accommodations and common areas
Follow safety guidelines provided during orientation
Respect curfews and house rules set by host families
Professional conduct in all interactions with students and community members
