Program Details
Our project is based in Tiraf, a peaceful old village in the south of Morocco, surrounded by palm groves and desert landscapes. We are working to keep the spirit of the village alive by supporting local children through education, creativity, and cultural exchange.
We welcome volunteers who are passionate about teaching kids, sharing knowledge, and bringing positive energy to our small community. The children in Tiraf are eager to learn and highly curious—many of them do not have regular access to educational support, so your presence can truly make a difference.
Volunteers can help with:
Teaching basic English or French
Supporting kids with schoolwork and after-school learning
Organizing creative activities: music, drawing, crafts, storytelling, games
Helping build a positive, inspiring environment for the children
You will stay within our calm and artistic space, where life moves slowly and authentically. The atmosphere is simple, friendly, and connected to nature. We often share music, local traditions, and farm life with volunteers to create a meaningful cultural exchange.
If you enjoy working with kids, exploring Amazigh culture, and living close to the desert in a peaceful environment, our village of Tiraf will welcome you like family.
Activities & Shift
Volunteers will support the children of Tiraf through simple educational and creative activities. The work is flexible and designed to create a positive and enriching environment for the kids.
Main Activities
Teaching basic English or French
Helping with homework and after-school learning
Organizing creative workshops (drawing, music, crafts, games)
Storytelling, singing, and outdoor activities
Encouraging confidence, communication, and teamwork
Assisting in occasional community or cultural activities in the village
Shifts
3–4 hours per day, usually in the afternoon when children are available
5 days a week, with two days off to explore the desert or relax
Schedule is flexible depending on weather, school hours, and the needs of the kids
Volunteers are free to propose new activities or small projects they’d like to lead
The goal is to keep the program light, enjoyable, and impactful for both the children and the volunteers.
Rules
To keep our space respectful, safe, and enjoyable for everyone—volunteers, children, and the local community—we ask all volunteers to follow these simple rules:
Respect & Behavior
Treat children, families, and the community with respect and kindness.
Be patient and positive when working with kids.
Respect local Amazigh and Moroccan culture, traditions, and ways of life.
Village & Home Rules
Keep your accommodation and shared spaces clean and tidy.
No loud noise late at night — our village is calm and peaceful.
Dress modestly when interacting in the village out of respect for local customs.
Working With Kids
Always behave responsibly around children.
No photos or videos of children without permission.
Arrive on time for planned activities and communicate if you need time off.
Substances & Safety
