The experience

Join our small Berber family in Tagounite and help with simple daily tasks like gardening, cooking, painting, or hosting guests. Live in a calm kasbah surrounded by palms, silence, and stars. Learn Moroccan culture, enjoy tea rituals, and take time for yourself. A meaningful desert experience for creative, open-minded volunteers.

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Volunteers contribute 5€ per day. This covers accommodation in our Berber kasbah, breakfast, drinking water, gas, electricity, and shared daily expenses. It also helps us buy materials for gardening, painting, and building, and supports the growth of our local desert project. 100% of the fee goes directly to improving the space and creating a better experience for future volunteers.

Program Details

At Dar Nomad, volunteers join a calm Berber kasbah in Tagounite. You will help with simple daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, decorating, caring for animals, welcoming guests, or supporting our cultural projects.
We work slowly, with respect, silence, and desert rhythm. You will learn Moroccan culture, tea rituals, and nomad lifestyle while having time for yourself.

Activities & Shift

• Daily tasks: cooking, cleaning shared spaces, gardening, helping with small repairs, creative projects (photography, painting, video), and assisting guests.
• Schedule: around 3–4 hours per day.
• Days off: Thursday & Sunday (souk days in Tagounite, perfect to explore local life).
• Work is flexible according to your skills and what you enjoy.

Rules

• Respect the calm and traditional Berber lifestyle.
• Keep shared spaces clean.
• No loud music inside the kasbah.
• No drugs or alcohol inside the house.
• Fee must be paid once at arrival (covers accommodation, wifi, electricity, gas).
• Communicate any problem directly so we fix it quickly.
• Be open-minded, kind, and ready to live simply like locals.
