The experience

Hello! We are Carmen and Jorge, a 27-year-old couple who just bought a house. We need help with small renovations (we are not looking for a professional) to fix it up and make it beautiful. We also have a very large garden that we need help maintaining 🌿🌼.

We are looking for a young volunteer with whom we can build a good friendship, share plans, go out together, and have fun while they help us improve our home 😊.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Beginner Spanish or Intermediate English

Between 22 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

The goal of this volunteer program is to create lifelong bonds by sharing experiences, cultures, and laughter. We are not looking for a worker, we are looking for a companion who will make our lives easier and help us achieve our dream home so we can continue to expand our family 👶🏻.

We will pick you up at the airport ✈️​ or train station and drop you off there for your return trip (as long as our schedules are compatible).

You can communicate with us in English, Spanish or Italian 🗣️​

You will have a private room and bathroom on the ground floor of the house.

NOTE: we are frequently travelling, so be patience if we do not answer inmediately or our availability is not updated. Sorry for this!! We try yo do our best.

Activities & Shift

Your day will start at whatever time you prefer: 8:00, 9:00, or 10:00, as long as you can dedicate 4 hours a day to volunteering. You can have whatever we have for breakfast at home ☕. Some days you may work in the evenings, as we will need help at this time. This volunteer work is compatible with teleworking, as you can do all tasks after lunch if it is more convenient. We are quite flexible in this regard.

Your daily tasks will include (not all of them every day):
- Applying filler to walls
- Helping with decorating decisions
- Deep cleaning rooms that are being renovated
- DIY projects (sanding, painting, varnishing, etc.)
- Repairing minor damage
- Doing gardening work (weeding, mowing the lawn, planting, turning the soil, etc.)

You can also have lunch and dinner with us with everything we have in our house.

After completing the day's tasks, you will have complete freedom to enjoy your time, and on weekends you can join our plans—we always do something fun! 🎉

Rules

Smoking is strictly prohibited both inside and outside the house (we do not accept smokers).
Of course, drugs are also prohibited 🚫.
