🌱 Vegetable farming and poultry care in Ranchi, India


The experience

Hello friends! My name is Santosh Kumar Mahto. I live in a village near Ranchi, where we cultivate fresh vegetables and raise poultry. Volunteers are welcome to experience simple rural life, learn local farming practices, and support our family farm.


What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Animal Care: Help look after and take care of animals.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Russian

Between 18 and 45 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Volunteers will help with daily farm activities such as watering vegetable beds, assisting with planting or harvesting (depending on the season), and feeding our chickens. This is a peaceful environment where you can learn traditional farming techniques and enjoy life in an Indian village.


Activities & Shift

Daily activities may include:
Watering vegetable gardens
Helping with planting or seasonal tasks
Feeding chickens
Collecting eggs
Assisting with cleaning animal areas
General help around the farm depending on the day

Schedule:
