By joining Nova Fitness Retreat as a volunteer, you agree to participate in a cultural and work-exchange program designed to support the daily operations of our wellness retreat. This is not a paid job, but a mutually beneficial exchange: you contribute your time and positive energy, and we provide accommodation, access to fitness classes, and a supportive community environment. Volunteers must respect guests, staff, property, and the retreat’s peaceful atmosphere. You agree to follow the schedule provided, communicate clearly with the team, and uphold Nova’s values of discipline, kindness, teamwork, and professionalism at all times.

Activities & Shift

Nova Fitness Retreat is Vietnam’s first purpose-built wellness destination, located on the island of Phu Quoc. Volunteers join our team to help create a warm, welcoming environment for guests from around the world. The program blends kitchen support, guest experience assistance, and general retreat duties. You’ll help our Pure Eats Kitchen with simple food preparation, organisation, cleaning, and plating healthy meals. You’ll support reception with greeting guests, guiding new arrivals, answering simple questions, and helping maintain a positive atmosphere. This program is ideal for volunteers who enjoy community, fitness, healthy living, and meeting new people. It’s a hands-on, social, and meaningful experience. Depending on your skills and passion, the main areas where we need volunteer support include:

Depending on your skills and passion:
• Customer service – welcoming guests, showing them around on arrival, and helping them settle in
• Restaurant support – assisting our head chef by taking guest orders so he can focus on preparing meals
• Kitchen hand – helping our full-time team during peak hours with coffee, smoothies, juices, and basic food prep
• Organic farm & gardening – supporting our onsite farm team
• Fitness class attendance – keeping a record of guests joining each session
• Community outreach – using your language skills and fitness passion to connect with expats and tourists on the island
• Photography and videography of fitness classes
