Program Details

Our volunteers for this position will need to be proactive as we will be away for some of the time. We have lots to do around the house and garden and we will show you what needs to be done but appreciate any ideas from our volunteers as to what also could be done.

Activities & Shift

As we will all be living together general things such as cleaning around the house and cooking and cleaning up afterwards will be shared.
When we are away volunteers really need to be at the house for most of the day because of our pets. Rocky our dog needs to be walked and fed 2 times a day, the cats food, water needs to be checked regularly and their litter tray needs checked as well. The chickens food and water also needs to be checked regularly and eggs need to be collected.
A little spare time can then be spent in the garden.

Rules

We would also like volunteers to be a couple or friends to support each other and have experience of dog care and confident with dogs as Rocky who is a shiba mix can sometimes be a little difficult to take care of until he feels comfortable with people.
Ideally volunteers will also be able to drive(they can borrow our car) but we do have e bikes which are very easy to use and have some Japanese ability.
We would also like to have a video call as well to check everyone understands the position and is happy to commit.
