The experience
This is a volunteer position in the outdoor kitchen at Terramore, a sustainable community dedicated to eco-friendly living, creativity, deep ecology and holistic practices!
Daily tasks include preparing vegetarian/vegan meals for small groups (~10 people), focalizing the kitchen with 1–2 assistants, teamwork, and supporting community life.
Gain hands-on skills in healthy cooking and community living.
Prior kitchen experience required.

Program Details
As a volunteer Kitchen Focalizer at Terramore, you will play a key role in our sustainable community. You will be responsible for preparing vegetarian/vegan meals for small groups (~10 people), coordinating the kitchen with 1–2 assistants, and ensuring smooth teamwork during meal times.
We expect you to have prior kitchen experience, be comfortable leading a small team, and enjoy collaborating in a community setting. Your days will include meal planning, cooking, cleaning, and supporting community life.
You will gain hands-on skills in sustainable cooking, and collaborative living, while experiencing natural life in a vibrant regenerative farming project.
You will also have the chance to connect deeply with other volunteers and participants, learn about sustainable/regenerative practices, permaculture, mindfulness, deep ecology and contribute directly to a more conscious, ecological way of living.
Activities & Shift
Daily Activities:
- Focalize and Prepare three meals a day: light breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Collaboratively plan the weekly menu
- Coordinate the kitchen with 1–2 assistants
- Cook meals for small groups (~10 people)
- Clean and maintain kitchen and dining areas
- Support and participate in community life
Shifts:
- Meal preparation occurs daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Activities are collaborative and team-oriented
- Day off on Sundays and Saturday afternoon
Rules
- Smoking is not permitted inside Terramore. If you wish to smoke, please step outside the gate and bring a personal ashtray.
- During holistic programs alcohol is not allowed.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Volunteers should align with Terramore’s values: personal transformation, self-awareness, and conscious living.
We use the Way of the Circle to create spaces for deep listening. Volunteers should be willing and open to participating in circles, mindfulness exercises, and daily practices focused on presence and personal growth.
