The experience

Join us in helping improve community facilities through practical, hands-on construction and maintenance work. Volunteers assist in building recreation areas, fences, and other essential structures that support local education and development programs. If you enjoy teamwork, using tools, and creating lasting impact through sustainable projects, this role is a great fit.


What you offer

15 hours of help per week

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Painting & Decorating: Help with painting or decorating the property facilities.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 20 Per day

Fee pays for: Materials for volunteer activities and Donation to project

Description: For meals, coffee breaks and project materials


What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 50 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

Join LDCL (Life Development Center) in Chiang Mai to support sustainable development projects that empower local communities and protect the environment. As a volunteer, you'll help with forest conservation, such as building firebreaks, planting trees, and constructing water check dams. You’ll also assist in building community infrastructure, help on an organic farm, and support daily village activities. You’ll gain hands-on experience, learn organic farming techniques, and immerse yourself in local culture while making a real impact.
