The experience

We’re a warm homeschooling family in Malang welcoming volunteers to join our daily life. Share music, art, language, or simple conversations with our three daughters. You can also help teach basic English to neighborhood kids and explore local culture together. No special skills needed ,just kindness and curiosity. Stay with us, enjoy real East Java life, and become part of our family.

What you offer

18 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 20 Per week

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers, Materials for volunteer activities, and Donation to project

Description: Travelers do not need to pay any additional fee to volunteer with us. All volunteer activities are completely free. However, we gladly accept donations from anyone who wishes to support our programs. Donations are optional and help us continue creating meaningful learning and cultural experiences for the children and community

What you get

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Program Details

As a Worldpacker in our home, you’ll join a warm homeschooling family in Malang where learning, culture, and community come together. We expect volunteers who are kind, open-minded, and genuinely enjoy spending time with children. Your main role is to support our daughters’ learning through simple English conversations, creative activities, and sharing your own skills — whether in music, art, sports, storytelling, or any area you’re passionate about.

You may also help with relaxed English sessions for neighborhood kids or small community activities. No teaching experience is required; just patience, initiative, and a willingness to engage in fun, meaningful interactions.
In return, you’ll experience true local life. Our family offers a welcoming, safe, and friendly environment where you’ll feel included in daily routines, cultural experiences, and family activities. Your days will be flexible, with plenty of personal time to explore Malang’s nature, food, and cultural sites.

Activities & Shift

Daily Activities (flexible checklist):
Casual English conversation with our daughters
Supporting homeschool projects (arts, crafts, reading, simple science)
Playing music, drawing, or sharing your personal skills
Light help during neighborhood kids’ English sessions
Joining family walks, small outings, or cultural activities
Simple household teamwork related to the kids’ activities only

We follow a relaxed, family-style schedule.
Volunteers usually help 2–3 hours per day, divided between morning or afternoon depending on your comfort. There is no strict timetable — activities are planned together based on your skills, energy, and our children’s routine.
You’ll always have plenty of free time to explore Malang, rest, or enjoy your own activities. Our home environment is flexible, warm, and focused on meaningful interaction rather than structured work.

Rules

Please be respectful of our family routine and the children’s safety at all times.
No smoking, drugs, or alcohol inside the house or during activities with kids.
Please keep shared spaces clean and tidy after use.
Be punctual and communicate if you need to adjust your schedule.
We value kindness, patience, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
