The experience

Our project is an English teaching academy shaped as a cafe to maximize practicing time. As we believe that Language is acquired through life not taught, we have adapted the communicative approach to deliver the best and fastest outcomes in addition to using the most frequent words in English to make sure that our students develop the best communication strategies at the fastest pace.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Free Hiking Tours: We’ll take you on excursions and hikes around town. For free!

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate Arabic

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

Set strategies to increase the involvement of our students with the cafe's activities and help them make real progress in their learning process. Design, plan, and develop the classes and the activities, workshops, evaluation tests and any innovatively create material when necessary. The volunteer will give classes to adult students.

Activities & Shift

The shift is from 5 PM to 10 PM for 5 days a week to be agreed on upon arrival

Rules

An additional document will be agreed on upon arrival that regulates the experience to guarantee the best experience for both sides.
The location where the classes take place is different from the accommodation location.
