The experience

This is a cultural and hospitality exchange where you support simple daily activities at the hotel and occasionally join me at the farmhouse. You may help with greeting guests, assisting in the kitchen, or lending a hand in small farm tasks such as harvesting.
You’ll learn about desert life, local foods, traditions, and the rhythm of Jaisalmer. In return, I offer a comfortable stay, meals, tea/coffee, cultural experiences, and village exploration

What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Cooking: Choose the menu, pick ingredients and cook delicious dishes.

Arts: Help with painting, graffiti, sculpting or drawing.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 0 Per day

What you get

1 day off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Restaurants: Get discounts at nearby restaurants.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Requirements

Beginner English or Beginner Hindi

Between 18 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

This exchange offers a mix of hospitality and cultural learning, where you take part in simple daily tasks at the hotel and sometimes spend time at my farmhouse. You can help greet guests, support the kitchen, or join in small seasonal tasks on the farm.

You’ll experience the essence of desert living, its food, customs, and rhythm. In return, you’ll enjoy a cozy place to stay, meals, tea/coffee, and the chance to explore the village and local traditions.

Activities & Shift

I need a manager at my hotel and you may assist with:

Welcoming guests at the hotel, and helping them with safari bookings
Simple kitchen support
Visiting the farmhouse to help with small harvesting tasks
Supporting basic daily routines to keep the space running smoothly

Schedule:
⏱️ 4 hours per day, with 1 day off per week.
Your free time can be used to explore Jaisalmer, the desert, and nearby villages.
