The experience

I live in a lovely home with many plants and shrubs that need regular care. Currently there is 1 volunteer (Irene from Spain) but I have space for 1 more volunteer. Each volunteer has their own private bedroom.😊.
I’m looking for an energetic and friendly volunteer, especially because the long Irish winters can be challenging!

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Elderly Care: Assisting and spending time with the elderly.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Dedicated Workspace: Specific space for you to work remotely

Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 37 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

The help is quite easy and low-stress. I’m happy to share my horticultural knowledge, including tips and tricks for getting the best performance from different plants 🌱.
The tasks are not very structured, and I encourage an atmosphere of fun, relaxation, and informality.

Activities & Shift

You will help 5 shifts of 4 hours per week — a total of 20 hours.
Activities include evening chats and some light house / garden work. You will have 2 days off per week.
Of course, you are welcome to hang out at other times as well if you want to socialize 😊.

No guests are allowed, although there may be some flexibility once trust has been established 🤝.
