Cat Care + Peaceful Village Stay Near Hannover + l Light Support for a Non-Profit
Are you an animal lover who enjoys nature, calm surroundings, and meaningful experiences?
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable person to take care of our cat and help a little around the house — and, depending on the dates of your stay, you may also have the chance to support our small non-profit organization that works with children from migrant families.
You’ll stay in Springe-Völksen, a quiet and beautiful village surrounded by forests, hills, and hiking trails.
Perfect if you love nature, walking, peaceful evenings.
From here, it’s easy to reach Hannover by train for city trips, culture, cafés, and bigger events.
Activities & Shift
🐱 Your main responsibility: taking care of our cat
Our cat is young, healthy, social, and very affectionate.
Your tasks will be simple: feed him twice a day, clean his toilet, play with him (he loves people and needs interaction!), keep him company
If something seems wrong — let us know immediately and, if needed, take him to the vet (we cover costs, of course).
Additionally there will be a little help around the house needed.
Nothing heavy - just small, everyday tasks to keep the apartment tidy: wiping surfaces, cleaning the bathroom and the kitchen etc.
It’s a small two-room apartment, so the workload is minimal.
Depending on your dates, you might also support our NGO that works with children from migrant families.
Tasks are simple, practical, and suitable for anyone: light cleaning or setting up rooms before events, taking photos or short videos for our Instagram, helping decorate spaces for activities, running small errands (e.g., buying craft materials).
Nothing complicated — but it makes a real difference and gives you the feeling of contributing to the community.
Rules
We ask for a basic level of responsibility and clear communication.
At home please respect the space, the neighbors, and the calm atmosphere of the village. No smoking and no guests.
If something is unclear, if plans change, or if anything goes wrong with the cat or the apartment — just let us know as soon as possible.
Respect, reliability, and kindness are all we expect.
