What you offer
10 hours of help per week
Building & Repairing:
Help with a wide range of repairs or building.
Gardening:
Help grow plants and cultivate gardens
Child Care:
Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.
Social Work:
Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.
What you get
2 days off per week
Private Room:
You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.
Shared Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.
Team Dorm:
You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.
Breakfast:
You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.
Lunch:
You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.
Dinner:
You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Intermediate English or Intermediate English
Between 25 and 65 years old
Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details
Our volunteer program is designed to give international volunteers a safe, structured, meaningful, and impactful experience while helping vulnerable children, women, and communities in Buwenge, Uganda.
Below is a full explanation of how the entire process works from application to completion.
1: Initial Inquiry
Volunteers contact us through our website, email, WhatsApp, World Packer.
2: Application Form
We send the volunteer a simple form to collect:
Personal details, Skills and interests, preferred dates, expected time of stay, what area they want to serve in (children, education, farming, community, admin, medical etc.)
3: Online Interview (Optional)
We schedule a short call to:
Understand their expectations, share our ministry goals, and responsibilities, confirm dates, and answer any questions.
4: Confirmation Letter.
We issue an official Volunteer Invitation Letter, which they may use for travel planning or visa support.
5: Volunteer Placement and Assignment
After receiving confirmation, we place volunteers according to their gifts and interests.

Daily Activities for Global Volunteers
Buwenge Shared Hope Ministry Uganda
Our daily schedule is designed to give volunteers a meaningful and balanced experience, combining service, learning, cultural connection, and rest.
8:00 AM – 8:30 AM: Morning Briefing
Meet with project supervisors
Receive daily assignments
Short prayer or motivation
Planning for the day
8:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Children’s Program / Teaching
Depending on the volunteer’s skills:
1) Teaching English, Mathematics, or reading
2) Helping in nursery classes
3) Games, singing, arts & crafts
4) Assisting vulnerable children with learning
5) Helping in the feeding program
(Volunteers not working with children may join agriculture, admin, or community projects.)
10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Tea / Break Time
o Relax
o Interact with staff
o Prepare for next activity
10:30 AM – 1:00 PM: Community & Skills Activities
Volunteers participate in one or more of the following:
