The experience

Our School is a registered educational institution located in Mafubira Village, Jinja City, Uganda. Guided by the motto “Good Seeds Will Prosper,” we are dedicated to providing quality education, character growth, and community empowerment. Volunteers join us to inspire learners, share skills, and help nurture a brighter future through education and cultural exchange.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Social Work: Help with volunteer work in local projects and communities.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

What you get

2 days off per week

Private Room: You will have a bed in a private room. In other words, a room just for you.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Accommodation: Get discounts for your stay in other hostels.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Parties: Get free entrance for the best parties in town.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Yoga classes: Take free yoga classes at our place.

Dance classes: Take free dance classes at our place.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.

Program Details

At our School in Mafubira Village, Jinja City, we offer volunteers the opportunity to make a real impact in education and community life. Participants assist in teaching English, arts, sports, and life skills while supporting creative learning projects. Beyond the classroom, volunteers engage in cultural exchange, community outreach, and environmental activities — helping us live our motto, “Good Seeds Will Prosper.”

Activities & Shift

Volunteers participate in a variety of meaningful activities that support both education and community growth:

Main Activities:

Assisting teachers in English, math, and creative arts classes

Leading games, sports, and music sessions for students

Helping with school gardening and environmental projects

Supporting community outreach and cultural exchange events

Assisting with light administrative or creative school projects


Typical Shifts:

Morning: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM (classroom support & learning activities)

Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM (sports, arts, or community projects)

Days Off: Weekends (with opportunities for cultural tours or local exploration)

2. Punctuality & Commitment: Be on time for activities and complete your assigned shifts responsibly.

3. Dress Modestly: Wear appropriate clothing suitable for a school and community setting.

4. No Drugs or Alcohol: The use of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited on school grounds.

5. Positive Attitude: Approach every task with patience, teamwork, and willingness to learn.

6. Safety First: Follow all safety guidelines and report any concerns to the coordinator.

7. Protect Privacy: Do not share photos or personal information about students without permission.

8. Clean Living Spaces: Keep accommodation areas tidy and respect shared facilities.

9. No Harassment or Discrimination: Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for everyone.
