The experience

As a volunteer at Bananas Bungalows, you will be welcoming and checking guests in and out. You will be answering guests' questions and helping to make their stay as comfortable as possible. You will work alongside two other volunteers on a rotating shift, working for 5 hours per day, and after every third shift you will have 29 hours off. Free food and accommodation is provided.


What you offer

32 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Bartending: Make and serve drinks and help maintain the beverages inventory.


What you get

2 days off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Drinks: Get discounts for drinks and beverages from our bar.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Basic Internet Access: Basic speed internet for you to work remotely


Requirements

Fluent English

Between 18 and 35 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Activities & Shift

You will work alongside two other volunteers on a rotating shift, working for 5 hours per day, and after every third shift you will have 29 hours off. The main roles are checking guests in/out, answering questions, keeping the drinks/snacks fridge stocked and ensuring the common area is kept tidy. You will share the volunteer dorm with the other two volunteers.
